I am regretfully selling my 1965 Honda S-65. It has been painstakingly restored and is in perfect mechanical condition. I did the initial restoration about 30 years ago, and redid the wheels and plating last year. The engine and frame are not original to each other, as I had to replace the frame when I found it to be bent, and welded a full rear fender to it (very hard to tell). All engine design updates were incorporated to insure reliability. I threw every NOS part I could get from Honda at it, including the seat, plastic, cables, carburetor, exhaust nuffler, handlebars and controls, and a multitude of internal parts. I laced up C-70 rims to accomodate slightly larger and available tires. I rode it the few miles to the Honda shop where I worked for a season or two, putting on maybe 500 miles. I then sourced an NOS speedo which now shows 6 miles. It has mostly been on display in the living room for 25+ years. It is currently registered in California, with renewal due Nov. 18th. I will ensure that the motorcycle is fully serviceable with a new battery. also included is the owner's manual and an official Honda S-65 parts list and shop manual. I would prefer to sell within California, but would deliver to a shipper in Sacramento as a courtesy. You to make arrangements. This item is being relisted due to a non-paying buyer, probably a kid who didn't have mommy's permission to buy a $2,000+ little motorcycle.
