You are bidding on a 1997, 1500 chevrolet suburban. Our family has owned this vehicle since 1999. The truck is still in use as a daily driver and has been well maintained with oil changes regularly every 3k miles. I changed the engine oil and filer about 800 miles ago ( the engine never needs oil added between changes) As noted the exterior paint could uses some touch up of the clear coat,there is no sheet metal rust or holes, the only rust which may not be visible in the pictures is the rear bumper and some very light surface rust/ stainign at the bottom edge of a door. The door rust stains might buff out and the bumper rust is easily fixed by unbolting and replacing the rear chrome bumper. Items replaced last year were the tires (less then 5 k on them they are excellent) The tires were purchased from Pep boys and I have road hazard on them the receipt is in the glove box if you should get a blow out. The front disc brakes and rotors, alternator, a door lock actuator were also replaced last year. Recently serviced was the AC system, air filter, rotor, plugs, wires one O2 sensor. Several years ago the radiator was replaced along with water pump and intake manifold gasket. Several years ago the front leather seats which typically rip were also recovered. I believe the battery to be 3+ years old but still starts up briskly even after sittign for weeks. The truck is fully loaded. All options work, door locks , power windows, cruise, AC etc. The truck has always passed NJ inspection and is currently good until January 2014. The truck still gets incredibly good gas milage for a vehicle of this size. over 18 mpg on the highway. on a full tank it has a range of over 700 miles! Its obviously great in snow storms and floods and off roading with its 4 x 4 high ground clearance and new tires. I have 4 keys, both original keys, 2 working keyless entry transmitters and the original owners manual This truck has never been involved in a flood, we are non smokers so its odor free. The primary driver was my wife so she kept the interior very clean, we just washed the inside along with the rugs. The truck accelerates fast and smooth brakes and steers straight. The automatic transmission was serviced regularly and a downshif solenoid replaced once. It shifts smoothy up and down with no slips whines or clunks. It runs and shifts as it should. On the highway I typically cruise at 70 to 80 miles and hour smoothly no vibrations or rattles. There was a minor accident reported on Car Fax in 2001. I slid on ice at that time and damaged the trunk of the car in front of me. Because of the height and weight of the suburban there was no damage to the truck at all, except for a little bend to the front hanging license plate.
