Maxim Motors has up for sale yet another rare, low mileage, second generation Dodge. 1996 Dodge 2500 Club Cab 4x4 5.9 Cummins Turbo Diesel 12 Valve SLT Laramie with a 5 speed standard, only 90,900 miles. Yes, that's right. A stick 12 Valve with under 100k. It gets better. This truck has been located on the western side of Colorado it's entire life, it is rust free. We purchased it from the second owner who had owned for 13 & 1/2 years, they purchased it from Grand Junction Subaru back in 2000 with 42k miles. It's one of those trucks that almost never come up for sale. If somebody has one, it's very hard to get them to sell it. Our 12 Valve is in outstanding condition for an almost 20 year old pickup. All the paint is still attached to the primer. All the body panels are straight and look to be original. The interior is outstanding, dash is in great shape. Never been smoked in, ever. No evidence of pets, no strange odors. The vinyl on the center console is perfect. All the typically broken or wore out interior items on this pickup are in good condition. It was stored indoors when I picked it up and it's stored indoors presently. Based on the overall condition and mileage, it's spent most of it's life indoors. Our Dodge is unmolested and un-tampered with. The fuel pump has not been turned up to our knowledge. No twin turbos, no pillar gauges or custom exhaust work. Has stock air cleaner with paper filter, not an aftermarket cold air intake. Never been lifted or had the suspension altered. The front end of this truck is as tight as a "frogs arse". Has no play in the steering box. No wondering or darting down the road. Whomever buys this will be shocked. Transmission shifts smoothly through all 5 gears, clutch feels perfect. 4 high and 4 low engage effortlessly. AC blows cold and power windows, locks and power seat all functioning. No disappointments or surprises about this truck , it is awesome. Looks as though at one time there were 5th wheel rails installed, there is a gooseneck plate still attached to the frame. The owners we purchased it from had a slide in camper, it was a recreational truck for them. The truck is LineXed over the bed rails. The bed is in super condition. As for cosmetic flaws, I took pictures to highlight everything were listing in our ad. The top cab of the truck has some light scratches, since only airplanes will see them, nothing to stress about. There are 3-4 small rock chips on the hood, as seen in the picture. Just above the receiver hitch, the owner must have bumped the trailer coupler into the bottom of the chrome bumper, very low. Fairly hard to see unless standing very close. Picture was taken to show dings in bumper. The seam on the upper part of the drivers seat is starting to show some wear, right on the piping. Again, the picture will highlight wear. All of these minor imperfections are coming from a critical eye and the truck is not brand new. By noting these imperfections, they sound more significant than they really are. Please call if you have questions. We do not have this truck for sale at our store, it is only for sale on Ebay.
