A True Vintage Classic, 1977 Honda Goldwing GL1000 A Own a piece of history and ride it anywhere. The First Generation Goldwing. As reliable then as they are now. Many new parts and updates make this stand out , a great daily rider, or long distance touring ride. Touring seat and side cases are ready for the long haul, and easily removed with four cotter pins. Custom exhaust with Harley type pipes, sounds great. I bought this bike about 6 months ago as a light restore project, and ride on the long haul trips and weekend rides. However, stuff happens, hand injury and can't really drive safely, so she's gotta go. I did get most all the updates done, needed parts replaced, and she's ready to roll. I'm listing the parts and updates, but sure to forget something, so I'll add those as I recall. New Candy Apple paint on tank, side covers and travel cases. Three coats cleared and ready for decals and finish coat or polish.New rear tire, sport touring, wheel and tube and battery, all with less than 50 miles. Front tire at about 50% wear.New throttle cables, both push and pull. New plugs and upgraded wires. New grips and front turn-signals. Belts changed within the last 1,000 miles.Fresh coolant with new thermo switch. Electronic ignition with out need to adjust points every 2,000 miles. All chrome work is in great condition with no rust on fenders in any of the usual places. Looking at the bike, you'd never guess its age, been really well cared for over the years. About the only thing I couldn't get to is the gas level gauge, other wise everything works as designed. I'm thinking the float is just stuck from storage, but if you fill every 200 miles, you should be safe. I have around $3,000 into this bike and hope to get close, but who knows, it's gotta go, so reserve is really low. Kids college extras are killin' me... Bike is located in Maryville, TN.
