Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1964 Honda CA95, a 150cc Benly. It is fresh from a total reconstruction. It was torn down to the bare frame and the engine torn down to splitting the cases. The frame, front fork, trailing arm and other small items were media blasted and powdercoated black, one of the original colors of this bike. The remaining parts (Tank, front fender, side covers) were professionally painted to match. The engine has all new seals, bearings, and gaskets. The cylinders were bored 0.25 mm over and the cylinder head rebuilt by Tim of ZForce racing. Any questionable parts were replaced. The pictures will show the aluminum parts that have been polished. The spokes are new chrome, relaced to true running (+/- 0.010" TIR) which is 1/4 of the new factory tolerance. All wheel bearings and seals are new, as are the cables, harness, tires, and battery. The bike has been converted to 12 volts for more reliable operation, better starting, and brighter lights. All electrics work well, except the above noted headlight Hi-Lo switch, which has a large dead spot between the Hi and Lo beam operation and needs to be "wiggled" a bit to change from hi to lo beam. A new headlight switch is quite expensive and not easily found. The speedometer was replaced with a KPM one at time of rebuild. It shows about 30 Kilometers and might have a few more if I ride it around the neighborhood before the auction if over. The bike starts fine, runs great, shifts well, and brakes work very well. It is a little cold blooded until completely warmed up, then runs fine. Electric starter spins the engine over, horn works fine, lights function as expected other than the dead spot mentioned before. The exhaust pipes and mufflers are original equipment, but were covered with surface rust, I media blasted them and had them coated in high temp black. If yu wanted to change them, eBay has aftermarket exhaust pipes and mufflers for about $200 including shipping. The side covers are not original, but aftermarket plastic ones purchased on eBay. The bike is currently registered in Vermont and has valid plates/registration until October of 2014. Vermont does not carry titles on vehicles this old, but their current registration will transfer to a title in the various title states. If you want, I can get a title for the bike in Illinois at a cost of $125 additional and about 4 weeks time. We can also transfer the Vermont registration into your name with a Vermont bill of sale. I have set the reserve at less than half of what I have in the bike. I value my feedback rating and will work with you to make this transaction smooth. I can deliver the bike in my truck 25 miles for free. We can work out the cost of delivering farther. Of course, you can pick up the bike here after we make arrangements for time and date. I will assist with shipping, but at your expense. If you need more pictures or have questions about the bike, send me a message through eBay messages and I will answer within a day. 100%
