Vehicle Detail
For sale to highest bidder is a great daily driver. 1955 1/2 chevy 3800 cab on a 1974 chevrolet one ton 4x4 frame, 14 bolt rear end, skyjacker lift, small block chevy 350, TH350 trans built by Hughes Performance in Pheonix, rebuilt NP205 transfer case, engine was also rebuilt all at the same time when the restoration took place about 10 years ago, less than 10k miles since total rebuild. Front disc brakes, power brakes, power steering, power windows, new glass, newer seat, custom stacker exhaust with headers and dual flowmaster mufflers, aluminum radiator, a/c(needs to be hooked up) new battery, new oil and filter, new trans filter and fluid, new gear oil in transfer case and both diffs. Tires have lots of tread, 33x12.50x16.5. I have the CA title for the frame as well as the 55 title. This truck is registered as a 1955. CA DMV wants over $1200 in back fees to register it here, was told it was on non-op when I bought it, but it was not, this should not matter in any other state. Included in the sale is a new black carpet, new chrome valve covers, new chrome air filter, but none of these items have been installed yet. Please ask questions. Feel free to call me at 760 three six two 53 two two For sale locally to first reasonable cash offer. Delivery is possible if we can work out the details. FAQ's this week; due to research of VIN decoding, the VIN on title suggests it was a 1974 3/4 ton frame, not the one ton as previously thought. numbers on front axle are 44-5CF bottom, C36585 top. vin plate on door jamb reads; L255L 013737 Frame numbers under drivers door; 338685 K.S.C. and 09-11-73 on drivers side, 12-26-73 on pass side. 133" wheelbase I found two crates with misc items that go with the truck, looks like window seals, door gaskets etc. Also found receipts for the Skyjacker suspension($1000) and door handles and some other stuff. Q:Will it drive 1500 miles home? A:I recommend having a current AAA card and a few tools just in case something gives. It is an older truck, it should be able to make it, but allowing yourself time to replace a hose or belt may make the trip more enjoyable. It has not been driven much this year after the complete fluid change when I bought it due to lack of registration. Previous owner had it all rebuilt and used it as his daily driver for about 2 years and let the registration lapse, so it got parked for 5 years or so. As with any older truck that is not $20k, you will need to work on this to keep it going, but thats part of the fun when owning and driving this beast and really making it your own.
