Vehicle Detail

Well maintained '94 Grand Cherokee with many new parts in the past year; front wheel bearings, ball joints, tie rods, control arms, steering box, front and rear track bars (front bar is adjustable aftermarket version, an improvement over stock design), water pump, radiator, thermostat, starter, brakes, catalytic converter, O2 sensor. All-Terrain tires have roughly 55k miles on them, but plenty of tread remains and they're great in the snow. Odometer just under 165K, climbing daily. Engine runs well, transmission shifts smoothly, 4WD works as it should. Transfer case and transmission fluids were recently renewed in anticipation of Winter. Transmission overdrive unit was rebuilt two years ago. Paint is in a condition one would expect on a '94 -- typical nicks and dings here and there, but no rust or rot. Clearcoat on hood is starting to crack in a number of areas, but the finish is still shiny. Frame/undercarriage is very clean. Interior is clean with no rips or tears. This negatives I can see are: -needs a front pinion seal soon -weeps a little oil (oil pan or rear main seal) and transmission fluid (near transmssion pan and cooling line at radiator) -A/C has a slow leak and requires periodic recharging during Summer -headliner starting to sag above passenger side -aftermarket front trackbar rubs the front differential cover when driving over hard bumps. I have tapped in the diff cover where the track bar initially rubber, but it still needs to be tapped in a bit further to completely eliminate the rubbing. Over smaller bumps and general driving, there is no rubbing at all and the front end is very quiet. Installing a lift kit on the Jeep will also solve this issue. This Jeep drives well and handles Winter with ease. It's been my daily driver for the past three years and I'm now selling to buy a truck. Jeep will be sold with the current Rhode Island registration and a notarized Bill of Sale, as RI does not title vehicles older than 10 years. Jeep is also for sale locally and Ebay auction will end early if local buyer is found. On Oct-31-13 at 06:30:58 PDT, seller added the following information: **Update on the Jeep**The beginnings of the dreaded 'death wobble' resurfaced this morning after hitting a bump on a local road. The aftermarket track bar I installed had largely fixed this issue, so I'm under the impression the aging tires (55k on the set) are contributing to the issue. Everything in the front end has been replaced, short of the coil springs themselves, so tires and another alignment would be my next move if I were keeping the Jeep. This morning is the first time in a month the Jeep has shown any sign of the 'wobble', so it's occurring on an infrequent basis. But, it's an issue that bidders need to be aware of prior to the end of the auction tonight. I will do my best to answer any related questions throughout the day today. On Oct-31-13 at 06:33:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, one electrical issue I neglected to remember/mention in the vehicle description was the driver door electric lock motor isn't working. The switch on the driver door, but the lock motor does not lock/unlock via switch. Need to manually lock/unlock.
