Every year he would buy a car off of the assembly line and take it home. The cars remained stored as his collection grew each year. Obviously, he loved Chevettes! Following his recent death, the collection was disbursed.This car, a 1987 Chevette 4-Door, is one of the last Chevettes produced. It came off the line on October 17, 1986, as attested to by the inspection sticker still in-place on the driver's door. (Production of the Chevette model ended in the U.S. on December 23, 1986 - just 8 weeks after this car was made.)Since that time it was stored in a climate controlled garage and exercised occasionally to keep it in like-new condition over the past 26 years.After the dispersal of the collection, the car was trailered to the west coast, to avoid adding miles to the odometer. The current owner realizes he would rather have a collector car to drive regularly, so he is offering this unique low-mileage Chevette here on eBay.Looking at the photos, you can see the car is in amazing condition that affirms the low original mileage. The paint and body are as close to new as you can get. The interior has always had seat covers in-place since new. The original upholstery is immaculate.Mechanically, the car runs like new (because it basically is!) SEE VIDEO. Automatic transmission. Optional AIR CONDITIONING. Other than the radiator hoses being replaced, the engine is just as it left the factory. Original spare tire and jack (still in the box) are under the floor in the rear. The tires are all original and in excellent condition.
