FOR PARTS or REPAIR 1981 Chevrolet Corvette coupe with only 43,139 miles. White paint and red interior that is in wonderful condition. Powered by the original numbers matching 350 V8 engine coupled to the #'s matching automatic. Features include removable t-tops, tilt, telescopic wheel, power windows, power locks, rear defogger, original AM/FM stereo radio with cassette player and aluminum wheels. This vehicle was cared for and runs and drives fine. No accidents. Oil changed religiously. Has never been smoked in. Clean free title in hand. Gauges work and headlights open and close properly. Even the parking brake works including the light under the hood. Tires have about 80% tread. Still has the original radio distributor shield. The only modification was the removal of the catalytic converter replaced by a straight pipe and the installation of a 1980 carburetor to by-pass the computer O2 sensors. (Original carburetor will be included in the sale). Computer, air-pump and associated tubes are still on the vehicle. The Bad The front windshield has been leaking over the years and water ran into the birdcage frame rusting it. The drivers door now hangs low and loose (see pictures). Pulling on the door will move the A-pillar. Must lift drivers door to close it. The birdcage frame will need to be repaired. I purchased the car about six years ago and didn't realize it had this problem until recently. The frame and floor pans are fine just the birdcage The A/C is currently not working (compressor will need to be replaced)Cruise control is not working Please ask all questions regarding condition or anything else you are not sure about prior to bidding as I'd like to avoid any misunderstandings prior to sale.
