Up for sale is a nice example of a well-kept and mostly original 1965 Ford Mustang coupe. Factory C-code 289 2v / with a 3-speed manual car. This first generation Pony still has the factory engine that was rebuilt less than 2 years ago and has about 10k miles since. The transmisson however was upgraded to a T-5 five speed. Carburetor was just rebuilt last month and she starts right up on first key turn every time. I also just did a full tune up which included a new distributor, wires, plugs, and changed all the fluids. I got a brand new set of tires for it last month as well. This Mustang runs just as good as it looks and I would not hesitate driving her anywhere. Very reliable classic and can easily be used as a daily driver. Now for a few more specs on the car; the suspension, brakes, and steering work great. Car drives well at all speeds and has no squeaks or rattles. All the electrical is in great shape and everything works as it should including all the dash gauges, exterior lights, interior lights, heater system, wipers, ect.. This is a Black-plate California car with no rust issues. It was painted Red about 2 years ago and as you can see in the pics it shines stunningly! Has a few minor paint imperfections from average use over the years but nothing major. I would say it's a good driver quality classic Mustang. It was turned into a GT clone at the time of the paint job with the addition of GT fog lights, rear valance & GT exhaust, and correct emblems. Original glass all around in excellent condition with new weatherstripping throughout. Both front and rear windshields were removed recently to correctly install the headliner and they had new seals plus chrome windshield trim installed for both. Interior is very clean with most of it replaced earlier this year including seat upholstery, carpet, dash, headliner, and misc trim. Car has 15" chrome Cragar wheels with brand new rubber all around. I have a clean CA title in hand with current registration until June 2014. Car is available for inspection by any serious bidder during this auction.
