2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Special Edition - 4x4 - V8 - Leather - Sunroof - One Owner 155,903 Highway Driven Miles Body and interior are exceptionally clean - minor wear on driver door armrest. No dents or dimples. Minor scuff marks on rear bumper. Owner purchased it new as a floor model. He did not utilize this powerful V8 engine the way it was meant to be used. No leaks, noises, misfire, smoking or slippage. He probably got a good deal since it was a floor model. There is no trailer hitch on it. It was driven from Connecticut to New Jersey for a long commute, and has a lot of life left in it. Motor is just about broken in. Throw a hitch on it and pull a house down - there's power to spare. We drove it about 50 miles and the on-board computer still has 3 incomplete monitors. (If you are familiar with NY State strict inspection requirements, you know what I am talking about.) I was told by my mechanic these trucks sometimes need to drive hundreds of miles to reset the computer. Sorry, I don't have the time and I am not wasting gas. Brake pads are low and though they feel perfect, they will soon need replacing for inspection. Tires pass inspection but the 2 front ones are weak and should be replaced within a couple thousand miles - back 2 are excellent. The driver side window DOES NOT WORK. Because this vehicle will not pass NY State inspection ... New York residents are unable to bid or buy unless they are a registered car dealer, registering/re-titling the vehicle out of state or are using it for “Parts Only”. When a car is sold as “Parts Only’ or “Salvage” it must pass a NY State “Salvage Inspection”. This is done to keep rebuilt wrecks that are unsafe off the road – especially vehicles with frame damage or airbag deployment. My cars are rarely rebuildable wrecks and therefore will easily pass this strict inspection process when the problem that is advertised is corrected. There are about 10 to 15 NY State salvage inspection sites in NY State – 2 or 3 are on Long Island and there are a couple in NY City. Call me for further clarification. As a registered NY State dealer I am unable to sell a car that won’t pass inspection to a NY State resident. Anyone else can bid and buy.
