Vehicle Detail

Up for sale today is my 1969 Ford Country Squire Station Wagon. This wagon features a 351CI with a the rare FMX transmission combo. Comes with build sheets, numbers matching. Everything pretty much has been restored on this wagon. The numbers matching engine was rebuilt with a mild cam and I added an Edelbrock intake with a Holley carb for performance. The FMX transmission was rebuilt as well. It has the dual 2 1/2 exhaust with I think are FM mufflers, has a great sound. All new paint, and yes, that is the original color, sky blue. All the interior components were redone by Just Dashes out of CA. The dash and door panels, armrests were all restored to factory spec. They actually had to run up special tooling to restore the original long plastic blue interior side panels for spare tire carrier and opposite side interior rear, they had never done anything that large before, came out great. This vehicle has the rear facing dual seats. The original FM radio was sent out and rebuilt with new internals for modern day play while retaining the old school appearance. Also comes with a completely rebuilt Ford floor mount 8-track, including the matching blues housing done by Just Dashes. I have not installed it yet so it will just come with the car. The fiberglass trim was professionally restored by Wood for Wagons. I also installed all new Dynoc, the cost alone for that was in excess of $4K. This car does not have A/C. The vacuum headlamps work perfectly. The original bumpers were rechromed and the trim is in great condition. New tires, brakes, etc. The tank and radiator were sent out and, dipped and restored. I retained as many original parts as possible and rebuilt everything. The floors and undercarriage are great, no rust or repairs, check picture, nice and solid, although, someone at onetime did replace the footwell panel at the rear jump seat, like most wagons of this area, it must have needed replacement. New headliner installed with insulation, also, I used Dynomat under the carpet when reassembling interior. I have too many projects so I am letting this one go, not too many 69 wagons left, and trust me, you cannot drive this anywhere without getting stopped for conversation about how everyone had one as a kid. Puts smiles on everyones face. There are a couple things you need to do to complete, all minor, just want to put it out there. 1. A couple seat belt housings, plastic around buckle mechanism cracked on a couple belts. All belts work fine, just the hard plastic cover are missing on a couple.2. Small ding in rear tailgate, you can pop it out from inside panel if you want, minor, but wanted to mention it, hard to see unless you go right up to it. She got bumped at a car show.3. Tiny tear front driver seat, maybe an inch long, minor issue.4. Rear interior headliner trim piece needed. This is the last metal trim interior piece at the very back behind interior rear light, inside above the rear tailgate window. For some reason, I can't find it here when I put the new headliner in, it is pretty much like the front headliner metal piece, almost in the same location, just in the opposite end. It is about 42" long and I see them on ebay all the time. This piece just holds the rear of the headliner in place, all other section installed and in place. Just grab that piece and zip in with the 4 screws and it's all set.5. Couple minor nicks in the Dynoc from parking at a car show, very minor and expected from minor usage.6. Small door ding, right rear. Minor, hard to see, just want to point it out. Just the way it goes, finish a car perfect, take it out a could times and get a ding or two.7. I have a new rear window motor I have not installed yet. I did rebuild the regulators in the doors and in the rear tailgate, just did not get a chance to throw new window motor in back. I will include for you or will try to throw it in this week for you.I think that's it, trying to remember everything about it, send an inspector or come over and drive it. you can drive this across the country if you want, everything is new and rebuilt. Let me know if you need any more pics. Oh yea, I put air shocks in the rear, just has a better look for these wagons to bring the car level as all of them seem to have that little lift in the front, the rear airs level it out for a nice look. The car just needs a couple things to finish, I must have well over $20K into it, so this is a bargain, you are basically getting a new car for the BIN price. I priced it low to move it out, spend a day or so on it, finish it up, and sell it for double if you want. Most vehicles at this price are junk, so this a sweet deal. I'll probably regret selling it, but, like I said, to many projects. Please ask questions, come and see it, or send out your mechanic or inspector. Trying to be honest with description, don't think I forgot anything, just needs those couple things to dial it in. Good luck to all, check my feedback, 7000 positives. Clear title. Paypal deposit of $1,000 needed at end of auction, I will assist your shipper when he gets here, cash or bankers check, has to clear before release.
