I an selling this 1972 Mustang Converetible for an older friend of mine. The car was restored about 15 years ago and is a good running and driving vehicle, but needs some work, and should be considered a project car.Here are the pariticulars: The Bad: The car has rust-surface rust on much of the undercarriage and some rust through in the front cross member and radiator support. The floors and the trunk pan have been patched in a couple of places. The doors have some rust and have been patched .The power windows, while rare, do not work. The exhaust will need replacement. The Good. The car is really pretty straight with good gaps and no sag. It appears to be safe to drive for short distances, although will need to be gone through before taking any type of long trip. The drivetrain appears sound. The motor is quiet and strong, the trans shifts smoothly and quietly, no noise from the rear end. The interior is really pretty good-no breaks, cracks or tears. Good glass Good power top which works well and has a glass rear window. No leaking cowl or trunk. The car is 100% complete and is all original except for paint All in all, this is a vehicle with tons of potential, and would make a great winter tinkering project.
