I am a motorcycle dealer and took this machine in on trade. I try to only sell machines that I am certain are in excellent running order. This machine is one I am not sure about and so I am just going to sell it as is. It has 20,000 miles on it and the previous owner drove it to my store in Tulare, Ca., a distance of about 200 miles. It has some issues. The battery is poor. The front left hand turn signal is missing. The plastic has various scratches and cracks. The clutch seems to pull harder than I would think it should. The small windscreen is badly etched. As we sell Kawasakis and Suzukis, our service department is not really equipped to detail this one out. From what I gather, these bikes go for about $2000 to $3000. I am asking only $995 as it is with a salvage title or if I fit the turn signal I will ask $1150 and give you a clear title. It is not a disaster, but it needs love and care. The motors seem to go for around $800 or so and perhaps one could just use the parts. If I fit the turn signal, I will give you a regular title. I know very little about these later Triumphs, although I used to be a Triumph dealer in the sixties and seventies. I do not wish to ship, so delivery must be in person. California taxes are due and DMV fees also, nothing else. Oh, yes, it has a Power Commander. The tyres have about 70% or more of the tread left. I just realized that I never mentioned about how the motor is. After the battery was charged up, the motor started up and seems to run fine on all four cylinders. [The battery is still no good, I think] Also, I have the machine for sale locally, so I reserve the right to sell it here. If I do I will take it off Ebay quickly.
