An Original 1948 Chrysler Windsor Business Coupe. I bought this car from the original owner 2 years ago. The car was sold in New Mexico in 1948. Then, the owner moved to California in 1954 and the car has been there since. The car has the original Black Plates that started with the car. The car is all original. The body has very few dents, please see the pictures of the right rear fender and the trunk has a small dent. The paint is almost all original, I would say about 97%. The interior with the exception of the front seat is original. The seat was so brittle that I replaced it with the correct material that was factory with the car. The carpet is original as is the rear deck panel, door panels and seat back. Per the owner the motor, trans and clutch were rebuilt approximately 1500 miles ago. I have no paperwork but the motor and trans both work like new. Brakes, wheel cylinders are new. Tires are radials and are new. All the gauges work, lights work, interior lights work, car is equipped with blinkers, radio, which does not work, heater works and clock which also does not work. All glass is original and the front passenger side has wiper scratches. Chrome is good, bright work is good. There is no rust on this car This car needs nothing. It is ready to go. I would not do anything to the car. It is a time capsule of the era and is a very rare car. Between 1946 and 1948 there were 1957 cars built. That is about 652 cars a year. Very few have survived and even fewer are still running and original. I have described to the best of my ability this car. I will not be responsible for missed items.
