Vehicle Detail
This is my 1970 Torino Cobra 429 car. I will start by saying I took this car in on trade for a street rod I sold and I am giving you the description as it was given to me and by my own observation. First of all it is a N code which verifies it as being a Cobra 429 Thunderjet as stated in the Marti report that is with the car. It also has a C6 transmission. I was told that the engine and transmission have both been gone through and are in excellent condition. I was told that this is the original engine for the car but I can’t find the vin numbers on the engine to verify it so I really don’t know if it is or not. The car has a lot of gt parts on it and someone probably just used what they had when restoring it. The car was originally dark ivory green with ginger interior it has since been painted a beautiful red and the body is really nice and straight. The interior is nice but has a few small tears in the front seat both are about an inch long and not bad. The carpet appears to be original and in good condition. The dash pad has an aftermarket cover due to the original pad having cracks. All of the lights and gauges are working as they should including the gas gauge and the speedometer. It has a nice new exhaust system that sounds really good and also has a new set of Riken Raptor tires with Coy wheels. The rears are 20 inch and the fronts are 18 inch. All of the chrome on the car is in excellent condition except for the trim pieces on top of both of the doors and the door handles. They are more driver quality and to make them look like the rest would either need to be replaced or rechromed. The car has recently had quite a bit of work done to it and the list is shown in the pictures. I am not an expert on these cars and am explaining the car as accurate as I can and as it was explained to me. The car is very nice to drive and I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. Everything seems to work as it should. I am selling this car to finish work on another car I am doing at this time. I would consider trading the torino for a 1965 or 1966 mustang fastback in similar condition. If you are looking for a really nice 1970 Torino that you would be proud to drive and own then take a good look at this car. I am sure I am leaving out some things on the description but I really don’t know a whole lot more about the car but if you have any questions I will try to answer them to best of my ability. I have video links of the car on Youtube: Just click on the links . http://youtu.be/RvNkVgBBHDM and another one: http://youtu.be/Zoj8HTDVzLk. Item is described to the best of my ability, and is sold as is. A $500 non refundable deposit is due by paypal, money order or cashiers check within 24 hours of Auction end.
