Vehicle Detail

BARN FIND !!! 1972 BUICK SKYLARK GS STAGE 1 2 Door Hardtop Stratomist Blue Poly exterior, Black bucket seat interior.. Steering column shift. Possibly a 3 owner CA car. Stored inside since 1999 and before. 2nd owner had the engine done by Kenny Bell . This Buick GS Stage 1 is one of approximately 720 built in 1972. This unit came from the factory as a 2 door hardtop with power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, factory air conditioning, and cruise control. History info from the second owner stated the engine developed a noise and he removed it from the engine compartment. Upon disassembly of the engine a piston upper ring land had broken. The engine will need new pistons and the new owner can decide to build the engine to the 1972 spec. or the 1970 spec. The air conditioning compressor is still hooked up as is the power steering pump in the engine compartment. This Buick GS Stage 1 has a Clear CA title. We will take pictures with the Buick outside on Monday and post them . Thank you and enjoy. Photos added, sorry couldn't get them to turn 90 degrees. BUICK GS STAGE 1 GOES TO A NEW HOME On Jul-24-13 at 12:18:08 PDT, seller added the following information: The engine block has been mag. checked and it is .030 over size bore and should be fine at .030 oversize bore. The heads that were on the engine have been pressure tested On Jul-25-13 at 18:36:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi again, fielding more questions. Here are more answers: The REAR END has 10 bolts around the pumpkin cover and one bolt has an aluminum TAG stamped with "USE ONLY LIMITED SLIP LUBE" While under the rear of the car looked for rust. The car frame has surface rust, it's 41 years old. The lower 1/4 's are solid, the trunk floor is solid, wheel openings have all the trim strips firmly attached. The only place I could see that may have rust would be the bottom channel of the rear window --- reason someone previously put a bead of silicone along the stainless window trim and the body. The car has been stored inside since sometime in the late 1980's or early 1990's. I think the CA blue with yellow letter license plate may have been put on it when the car was new. Hope this helps answer your questions. Thank you for your interest. The next owner will certainly enjoy this rare 1972 BUICK GS STAGE I On Jul-27-13 at 09:47:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi again, I tried to add more pictures and was able to add the rear window area one showing the silicone at the bottom. Unable to add or replace any other pictures . I have other pictures in my computer of the underside of the car but can't get the server to add them to any of your messages. The car is solid. The blue license plate in the car is not on the current Ca non-op or title only paperwork. If any of you from Florida, CT. or anywhere else have last minute questions , please call cell number 951-312-5590 Brad . Sunday am till 11 will be in church. Today he'll be near the car. Thank You for your interest and the car will go to the highest bidder that follows through and pays for the Buick GS Stage I.
