Vehicle Detail
1970 Mach 1 Mustang. Original 351 cleveland motor. Ford FMX automatic. The car has the optional fold down rear seat with pass through from the trunk. I purchased the car in 2005. I completed an interior restoration including new door panels, dash pad, front seat upolstery and cushions, headliner etc. I replaced the rim blow steering wheel with a Shelby style wood wheel. I installed a new cassette stereo that controls a CD changer in the trunk. I added Ford Mustang logo floor mats. I replaced the original gas tank and installed a correct radiator. The engine runs flawlessly. the top of the motor was rebuilt by the prior owner. It has a Holley 670 Street Avenger electric choke carb on an Edelbrock dual plane intake. The valve covers are Ford racing chrome. The motor has hand made headers. The iginition is MSD and the coil Accel. The distributor is Mallory. The hood has the non functional hood scoop with turn signal indicators. The monte carlo brace is chrome as well as some other trim parts. The rims are Magnum 500's. There's a rear deck spoiler and rear window louvers. The prior owner had installed fresh bushings and other suspension parts. The car has power steering, front disc brakes and tinted glass. I have the MARTI reports to show how the car was ordered and optioned, where it was sold etc. The car runs great. The paint is the original color. It looks good from 20 feet but it is in need of a repaint. There are small dents under each of the rear window louver hinges but they don't show. The body is straight and there are no rust issues. I found one bad floor pan (drivers side) when I replaced the carpet and had it cut out and replaced with a butt welded replacement panel. The FMX transmission shifts well but the transmission pan leaks around the seal. I have the original intake and exhaust manifolds that would go with the car. I also have the original valve covers. I would include a set of Ford shop manuals for the 70 Mustang and a Holley carb that came off the car when the new Holley went on. The original rim blow steering wheel would also be included.
