1978 Avanti II hand built by Avanti Motors. The car is in very presentable condition and ready to use for your driving pleasure or to attend Car Cruises, etc. It really draws a lot of attention. It is in very good mechanical condition and has plenty of power. Recently rebuilt or replaced were radiator, water pump, steering, carburetor, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, master cylinder, rear brake lines, front calipers and pads, shock absorbers, mufflers and exhaust work. The car drives, shifts and stops very nice. The car shows 2000 miles on the odometer, but mileage is unknown, thus I listed it at 102,000 although it does not feel like it has 102,000. The paint is an older repaint as has some issues, typical for its age but looks great from 20 feet. The seats, door panels and carpet have been redone. Hog troughs / torque boxes are solid. The bumpers and some exterior trim have been rechromed. Interior color of camel and black as can be seen in the photos are a nice contrast to the dark red exterior. The Avanti can be seen by appointment at my home. I purchased this Avanti as I wanted one with a Chevy engine so that I could drive it and easily purchase parts, but have since found an original 63 that had a Chevy engine installed, so I am selling this one.
