Selling my 2001 Chevy Suburban LT for PARTS. Car runs but needs too many repairs and the cost to repair is too high for me to put back into service. Many known problems include (there are probably other issues that I'm not aware of); significant oil and brake leak (gaskets and lines need to be replaced), needs battery, tires, brakes... Car body is in good shape. Good source for extra parts or if someone is handy and wants to take on the repairs. willing to provide additional information and / or pictures upon request Please do NOT bid if you are not seeking parts or are not handy with automobiles. On Jul-20-13 at 06:53:48 PDT, seller added the following information:addtl details to answer questions; - brake and oil leaks are serious. i haven't checked but assume lines need to be replace and oil pan gasket and/or main seal. Not really sure. - a/c runs but is not freezing cold. - one fog light is out. driver side mirror needs to be replaced. I have a replacement mirror (glass only) but never installed it. - Assume the car repairs will cost $$ to get it back on the road which is why i listed for parts. I'm not mechanically inclined so can't really say. - Assume brake pads and rotors probably need replacing as well - it is a 4x4 - I haven't driven it for a several months. The last time i did it seem to run ok, aside from leaks. will take it out later today and test it and post back findings. - winning bidder can come see the vehicle before making payment. I want to make sure the sale works for both parties. Winning bidder can decline after viewing the car without fear of negative feedback. - Wires hanging from ceiling are from a video system I had installed. I have since removed it. The screen I installed was large and required a larger housing. I did not reinstall the original housing and I believe the installer had to cut the ceiling material to accommodate the larger housing. I believe there will be a gap in the ceiling material with the smaller housing (the housing controls dome light and back a/c). I haven't hooked up the original housing to see if either the dome light or a/c controls in the back are working. A/C blows in the back and I was controlling it from the front when I used the car. I have the original housing and the large one (large one is not included in the sale but would consider throwing it in if roof material gap an issue. Video screen is NOT included). - I'm available for winner to pick up the vehicle Sunday evening July 21st of any early evening Monday July 22nd through Wed July 24th. Anytime on Thursday July 25th. Between July 26th and August 7th I'm not personally available but can make arrangements for pickup.
