Vehicle Detail
I am selling my baby. I purchased it in 2000, from a Conn. Dealer. It had 6,000 miles and was owned by a collector, who traded it for a Ford Lightening truck. It has always been garaged, covered, and battery trickle charged. Has seen maybe 5 rain days, when I was caught out with it. It looks almost as good now as when new. Does have a very few minor hood dings from the road. I was told not worth mentioning but I rather you be pleasantly surprised then unhappy. The tires may have to be replaced as I think age has caught up with them, sort of like me. I installed a Lojack system when I bought her, and had it checked out about 5 years ago. I have read online that it can be transferred to new owner for a small fee, $100 I think, and last time the re-check and battery test was about $70. I am selling because she just spends her life in the garage and it’s time someone else enjoys her 1996 Mustang SVT Cobra convertible triple black. 2nd owner , dealer maintained. 15,900 miles. A/C, Mac sound system, radio, cd & cassette, 5 speed, 4.6 liter, 305HP, Tonneau cover and bag. Adult owned, garaged, never raced or abused. Only changes to original were, original owner had mufflers replaced with, what look like the old 1950s style Cherry Bombs, (See last pictures), that were professional welded in, louder units, makes sound a little louder than normal Cobra, and K&N air filter. Car is near perfect, a couple very minor dings in hood, a very slight 6" diameter stain in roof, slight discoloration on rim edges, seat leather lines, normal for this age. These are very minor and you won’t find a better 1996 Cobra Convertible. This is number 1656 of 2510 hand built & signed engine.
