You are bidding on a very used 2002 AUDI A4 1.8T QUATTRO AWD sedan. This is a one owner car with 140,000 miles. The CarFax will probably look like it was owned by two people, but it was purchased off-lease by the original lessor - hence the discrepancy. I am selling this for a friend of mine (who I've known for 30 years). Here is what I know: Every body panel except for the drivers quarter panel have either dents or rust (some have both)The driver's mirror is brokenThe tires are fairThe transmission (manual) and transfer case both seem okEngine starts easily and runs fairly smooth, however there is a noticeable tapping noise from the front of the engine. If you press on the plastic cover in front of the pulley, you can feel it. May be trivial, may be significant - but it has not been formally diagnosed.Interior is pretty dirty, but otherwise in good condition for a car this age. Driver's seat does have a tear from wear. Check engine light is on - don't know what code it is throwingThere is at least one bulb out (warning light is on for that too)The wheels are pretty beat up, but hold air so appears to be just cosmeticsThe clutch was replaced about two years ago, so probably only has about 20-30,000 miles on it.Overall - this a pretty rough car, but if you are handy it can probably be road worthy for a while. KBB shows the value as $3,400 in fair condition. Car is sold as-is and buyer is responsible for pick up and associated costs.
