Vehicle Detail
1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am 20th AnniversaryIndianapolis 500 Pace Car We are selling our 1989 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am, 1 of only 1555 made. The car only has 87K original mileages on it. I purchase the car out of an estate auction only hearing it start up once. We have used the mostly for car rally events and as a weekend driver to local car shows. The car just completed the 2013 HOTROD POWER TOUR in June from Arlington, Texas to Concord, North Carolina with absolutely no issues. The trip was about 3200 miles for us starting in Florida. We used this car to drive and have fun with so it does show some signs of normal use. We are selling the car so we can get started on some of our other project cars (1970 Trans AM) and need the room to do so. The car has had several modification to enhance performance by the previous owner so let me pause right here and say that the car IS NOT 100% STOCK. With that said, the car does retain its original stock drive train (engine, transmission, & rear-end). As stated above this car has been driven and used for fun. It is by far one of the most exciting cars I have driven. The combination of performance modifications, suspension, and the upgraded turbo work flawlessly together to make this V6 one of the fastest cars I have ever had the opportunity to own and drive. This car is 8 out of 10 inside and out. I have done regular maintenances on the car since we owned it to keep it in Car show / drive quality shape. The most recent maintenance done for the 2013 HOTROD POWER TOUR is as follows: · New Tires · New Front and Rear Brakes · New Front and Rear Rotors · New Front Struts · New Rear Shocks · Front end alignment · All Four Tires Trued and spin balance (up to 120mph) · New fuel filter · New Radiator Cap· New Exhaust Flex Pipe · All fluids changed (Trans, Engine oil, Brake Fluid, Coolant, and rear-end) · New 3M Window Tint · New Transmission mount · Injectors cleaned and flow balanced · New Hood Strut Shocks As you can tell from the pictures the interior is in excellent shape with no rips, tears or stains of any kind. There are some signs of normal wear on the carpet, steering wheel and the tops of the rear seat covers (caused by the Florida sun). The car is going to need a headliner in the near future. As you may know GM was not known for their headliners in the 80’s or 90’s. The factory radio is in perfect working order a long with the steering wheel radio control buttons that operate the radio. I still have the factory original Lexan T-Tops along with an extra set of Glass T-Tops. The original Lexan T-Tops do show the famous stress cracks. The original rear spoiler has been changed out for a fiberglass one. As you may know the original rear spoilers were known to deteriorate and crack badly. The car has never been wrecked and does have a clean car fax. As stated before I purchased this car in an estate auction not being able to talk to the previous owner about the modifications done on the car. I will do my best to list all of the modifications, upgrades, and performance enhancements that I known to be done to the car. · Alky injection System · Scanmaster 2.1 Diagnostic Tool · Ported & Polished Throttle Body · Ported & Polished Upper & Lower intake · Ported & Polished Heads · RJC Airflow Distribution Power Plate · Adjustable Fuel Regulator · Duttweiler Modified Neck on the Inter Cooler · Drive shaft loop · Fuel Pump Hot wire Kit · Larger Oil Filter Adapter · Electric Fans Upgrade Wire Kit · Electric Exhaust Cut · Adjustable Boost Regulator · 3 Inch Down Pipe · Auto Meter Boost Gauge and Knock Sensor · Air Lift Rear Air Bags Everything works on the car as it should including the A/C! The A/C compressor and clutch is original to the car. The clutch is going to need to be replace on the compressor due to normal wear (we use it a lot in Florida). The car does not leak any fluids of any kind nor use any oil or other fluids. I do have some documentation with the car like the original dealer invoice, and window sticker along with some historical publications from when the car was introduced by Pontiac. Finding one of these rare cars that can be driven and used as it was meant to be in this kind of shape is just about impossible...especially at this price. Most of these cars are $20K plus and in car collections or trailer queens. This car is meant to be driven and enjoyed and once you take it for a test drive you will understand what I’m talking about. This car is truly a great performance driving car and for someone that wants a low mileage, slightly modified, piece of Pontiac and Indianapolis history, this is your car!!!! My reserve is set more than far for this car. The car is for sale locally and I do reserve the right to end the action at anytime so, if you are truly interested in the car please do not wait until the auction is over to contact me because about the car because it more than likely will be sold Below is a link to more than a 100 pictures and 2 videos (walk around & car running) of the car for your viewing. I took a great deal of pictures so that any potential buyers/ bidders can truly have an idea of overall great condition of the car. This is a great opportunity to own a rare 1989 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am / Indianapolis Pace Car that is considered to be the fastest Trans Am every produced.http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/kf313/library/1989%20TTA?sort=2&page=0#/user/kf313/library/1989%20TTA?sort=2&page=1&_suid=137262389925003714212372530073http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktZc-K36richttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZsTkzPJwWw This car is rare, unique, and apart Pontiac & The Indianapolis 500 History Call or Text me at 904-315-1554 I am located in St. Augustine, FL (just outside of Daytona) I can either help with delivery or possibly deliver the Car if needed... We are open to trades but BE REALISTIC....I could list things we are interested in but I don’t know what you have. It has to be something as nice as this Car....I can tell you we are not interested in a project car, a race car, a motorcycle, camper or a boat.
