Vehicle Detail

We are proud to offer this very rare and extremely nice example of a 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 Viper engined V10 truck for auction on eBay ... This Ram is in exceptionally nice condition inside and out, has always been well serviced and is very well optioned (see description below for a list of all options). These Dodge trucks are very muscular looking, very quick and fun to drive, handle very well, have a great engine sound and have great build quality! Of the 3,057 built, 1,040 were Flame Red in 2004, with a total production number of 9,527 from 2004-2006. The body is in exceptional condition with no dents, dings or scuffs, and the glass, carpet, leather, headliner, seats, etc. all literally look new. I am an extremely picky person and this is one of the few vehicles I've ever had that I can say you literally don't need to do anything to it. It doesn't need tires, a service, any spare keys, floormats - nothing. It's priced very well in the market and I have no reservations representing it as one of the top 3 or 4 Ram SRT_10's available for purchase in the US. It's tough to find a driven pre-owned vehicle that is this well cared for & clean. It is finished in Flame Red over Dark Slate Grey leather, has a 6-spd. manual trans and has 17,500 original miles. It will be very tough to price shop this SRT-10 or compare it with anything else because of the rarity and condition. Don't miss your chance to buy this fabulous truck for thousands off of new MSRP. Dodge Ram SRT-10 Dodge's powerful sport truck is available as a two-wheel-drive regular cab or crew cab in just one trim level. The Ram SRT-10 comes standard with such features as 22-inch alloy wheels wrapped in massive 305/40YR22 Pirelli tires, leather/suede-upholstered sport seats, a 508-watt audio system, air conditioning and full power accessories, so options are few. Exterior paint choices are limited to red, black and gray. Both models can be upgraded with a navigation system, and the Quad Cab offers a rear-seat DVD entertainment system. The Dodge Ram SRT-10 comes with the Viper's 8.3-liter V10 under the hood. In this application, it makes 500 hp and 525 lb-ft of torque. Power flows to the rear wheels via a modified version of the Viper's T56 six-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter on top in the regular cab, and a heavy-duty four-speed automatic in the crew cab. With the manual, expect a 0-60-mph time of about 5.4 seconds. The SRT-10 is also lowered 1 inch in the front and over 2 inches in the rear compared to a standard Ram pickup. The revised suspension incorporates Bilstein shocks, performance springs and, in the regular cab, a rear antiroll bar in anticipation of increased cornering loads. Four-wheel ABS is standard, and the truck's massive disc brakes utilize 15-inch rotors in front and 14-inch rotors in the rear. Side curtain airbags are available. In government crash tests, the standard Dodge Ram 1500 earned four out of five stars for driver protection in a frontal collision and five out of five stars for protection of the front passenger. Offset frontal crash tests conducted by the IIHS resulted in a "Good" rating, the highest possible. Inside, the Dodge Ram SRT-10 is fairly straightforward -- there's only so much you can do with a pickup cab. However, Dodge has installed white-faced gauges, drilled metallic pedals, a Hurst shifter (in the regular cab) and leather/suede sport seats to distinguish its performance truck from other Rams. Otherwise, it's the familiar Ram design, and that means easy-to-use controls and better-than-average build and materials quality. One common complaint we've had with the Quad Cab design is that its rear seat is rather cramped for adults. When piloting the Ram SRT-10, it is readily apparent that you're behind the wheel of a really serious machine. The regular cab's clutch is heavy, similar to that of an old muscle car, and the V10 rumbles and shakes the cab with as much mechanical noise as there is exhaust burble. As much brawn as there is under the hood, it's surprising how little exhaust noise there is at idle and low rpm. However, find an open stretch of road, drop the Hurst shifter from fourth to third, nail the gas pedal and suddenly it sounds like the truck is tearing a hole in the sky. With nothing less than purebred racecar urgency, the 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10 jets forward like it's being shot out of a catapult, pinning the driver to the seat. Handling is tighter than you'd ever expect in a truck, and the brakes are fully capable of reining in the SRT-10's prodigious power. There are no doubts, no second guesses and no recounts needed, the ultimate performance pickup is here; and it’s a Dodge. It ain't bragging if you can do it. With a maximum speed of 150 mph and the biggest engine in a performance pickup, the Dodge Ram SRT-10 backs up its claim as the baddest truck on the block. “There is no replacement for displacement,” said Wolfgang Bernhard, Chief Operating Officer–Chrysler Group. “The Dodge Ram SRT-10 delivers its astounding performance in a way that only Viper owners will recognize, with an endless rush of torque.” Wide, chiseled and masculine, the boldest and baddest pickup on the planet looks like it means business, and it does. The Dodge Ram SRT-10 was designed with the Dodge tradition of producing powerful trucks with a strong sense of style. The Dodge Ram SRT-10’s taut features were sculpted courtesy of DaimlerChrysler’s wind tunnel and with a subtle nod to the Dodge Ram NASCAR truck series entry. “The rear wing is one of the most important features of the Dodge Ram SRT-10,” said Trevor M. Creed, Senior Vice President-Design, Chrysler Group. “It is fully functional, providing a 165 lb. reduction in lift, but it also provides a reduction in drag, which is a rarity for wing. When access to the bed is required, the rear wing is removable and stows on top of the bed rails behind the cab.” Inside, heavily bolstered racing-derived leather seats with suede perforated inserts and a carbon-fiber leather trim steering wheel let drivers know this no ordinary Ram. The “SRT-10” logo is embroidered on the headrests. Silver trim adorns the center stack and a silver trim strip with an “SRT-10” badge resides on the passenger side air bag. A red Viper start button on the dash provides further evidence that this is something special. A custom “Hurst” shift lever sprouts from a silver metal shift bezel and is topped by a Viper shift knob. Aluminum performance pedals replace the stock set up. A new gauge cluster with satin silver-faced gauges feature Viper font and graphics and appropriately recalibrated speedometer and tachometer to accommodate the SRT-10’s visceral performance. The best-in-class interior space is maintained from the standard Ram. From the beginning, the engineers at PVO knew that this monster truck was a snake. The 8.3-liter Viper V-10 delivers 500 horsepower and 525 lb.-ft. of torque. Resting on unique engine mounts; the V-10 engine delivers 90 percent of its whopping 525 lb-ft of torque from 1500 to 5600 rpm. The cast aluminum cylinder block has interference-fit cast-iron liners and cross-bolted main caps. The Ram SRT-10 also features a unique oil pan, throttle linkage, new "Hi-Flow" exhaust manifolds, new transmission mounts and a modified Ram Heavy Duty radiator tailored to fit the between the NASCAR inspired grille baffles. The rest of the V-10 is straight from the Viper, with a six main bearing crankshaft with cross-bolted main bearing caps. Despite larger diameter aluminum alloy pistons than the previous generation's 8.0-liter Viper engine, the pistons weigh less and are included along with all-new, lighter and stronger cracked-steel connecting rods. More than just a big engine, Ram SRT-10 adds the largest standard wheels, tires and brakes offered on a production pickup. Unique in a world of look-alike trucks, the Ram SRT-10 is a radical, custom-built performance truck, straight from a manufacturer. The Dodge Ram SRT-10 blends performance cues direct from the Dodge Viper SRT-10, the ultimate sports car and the baddest pickup on the market, the Dodge Ram.
