Up for auction is this 1966 Chevrolet truck with an amazing look and patina. This truck is all original paint and has era correct aged logos from and actual local company that has gone out of business long ago. This truck runs and drives very well and I wouldn't hesitate to jump in and drive it across America. The current drive train is a later model 250 engine with a compound low 4 speed manual transmission. Recent engine work includes: New cam, lifters, oil pump, valve adjustment, water pump, fan belt, tune up items, rebuilt head, rebuilt carb, and stock Delco HEI distributor. All work was done professionally and the engine runs excellent and should give the new owner years of use and enjoyment. The truck is lowered about 7-8" all around with the following work done: Rear lowering springs, 2" rear lowering blocks, cut front coils, C-notched rear frame, adjustable track bar, new shocks front and rear, and shock relocation for both. More recent work includes all new brakes, front wheel bearings and seals, new tires, new front windshield, and front and rear window seals replaced. This truck was originally a small back window truck but was professionally converted using stock factory inner cab sheet metal and original rear glass. All electrical works as it should: lights, turn signals, gauges, horn, wipers, etc. Odometer shows just over 87k miles and I am unsure if this is original or not. Overall this is a very unique and solid truck with an amazing patina original paint and period correct patina logos covering it's exterior. I love driving this truck everyday and you will be surprised how nice it rides and drives. Also on the truck are the original California black license plates, a pair of NOS Merced, CA John Roth dealer frames, and vintage accessory 50's/60's El Camino/Truck bed rails. This truck does have some dents and dings as seen in the pictures, but these definitely give the truck character and fit it's look. The truck is a solid California example and is for the most part very dry. There is a small amount of rust in the back of the cab, but it is minimal and overall the truck is dry compared to most. All glass is in good condition and all locks work. This truck is currently registered and the sale includes a clear California title and an owners manual. This is really a great daily driver and pleasantly good riding truck and receives plenty of compliments and appreciation wherever it goes.
