2000 Lexus ES300 - 191,612 Miles! NY State residents please know your restrictions when bidding on this vehicle. Drive it home - this vehicle is going to the highest bidder! No Reserve! No Buy It Now! Please Don't Ask! As you can see, it has some damage. The hood latch only works using the secondary lever. No airbag deployment or anti-freeze leaks. AC is ice cold. Has minor dimples on the hood and roof from an oak tree (falling acorns!). I drove it about 7 miles at up to 55 mph - no overheating, tracks straight and the hood did not fly up. It is being sold in "As Is" condition. No warranty whatsoever. It does not pass NY State inspection due to the broken signal light lenses and it has a cylinder misfire. (Check engine light is not on, but it is probably burned out.) The pictures were taken with the car idling, AC on. When in gear you can feel a miss in the motor. I went to check the distributor cap and wire only to find it has coil packs. I was a mechanic in the 1970's and this kind of stuff confuses me. Due to the overall condition I did not bring the car to my mechanic. I was told the coil packs go bad on these cars all the time. No leaks, smoking or slippage. Strong tranny, good tires and the brakes feel fine. Because this car won't pass NY State inspection ... New York residents are unable to bid or buy unless they are a registered car dealer, registering/re-titling the vehicle out of state or are using it for “Parts Only”. When a car is sold as “Parts Only’ or “Salvage” it must pass a NY State “Salvage Inspection”. This is done to keep rebuilt wrecks that are unsafe off the road – especially vehicles with frame damage or airbag deployment. My cars are rarely rebuildable wrecks and therefore will easily pass this strict inspection process when the problem that is advertised is corrected. There are about 10 to 15 NY State salvage inspection sites in NY State – 2 or 3 are on Long Island and there are a couple in NY City. Call me for further clarification. As a registered NY State dealer I am unable to sell a car that won’t pass inspection to a NY State resident. Anyone else can bid and buy.
