1967 SAAB V4 model 96 Monte Carlo/Deluxe dashboard with nice after market wood steering wheel. very nice, solid, 2 owner car, no rust California car, no accidents. solid floors. has some later model upgrades. University professor European delivery. Maintained, daily driver now just occasional use. later/improved blue closed deck 1500cc engine. smooth 4 speed with operational freewheel. all brakes, clutch hydraulics recently rebuilt. front suspension bushings & alignment recently done. good shocks. new ball joints & tie rod ends. braided stainless brake hoses, new rear cylinders, excellent shoes, front calipers rebuilt, new pads. handbrake cleaned, lubed & adjusted, works great. proper early quick ratio rack & pinion steering gear. gas tank is clean/ never rusted. recent valve job w/hard valve seats, balance shaft bearings & gear inspected/good. fresh rear trans mount. new water pump. back cover inspected/good. flywheel just resurfaced & fresh clutch. new hoses & belts, fresh coolant. radiator cleaned, flushed & inspected. valves just re-adjusted after seating in. SAAB 2 barrel manifold with progressive 2 barrel Weber carb, new 1 3/4" exhaust with quality glass pack muffler & Ansa dual tip resonator center exit system, performs lively with nice throaty yet mellow sound. electric fuel pump. very good headliner, later high headrest seats with new after market covers (original vinyl material sunbaked/cracked), original gray rubber floor mats in good condition. new dash top. has good rear mud flaps. new wipers. heater works as it should. full size glove box, clean storage baskets. good later style adjustable front seat belts. Ignition, door & trunk keyed original & the same, including all flip up weather/ice covers. SAAB airplane logo locking gas cap included. All glass & mirrors are original & in excellent condition as is/are all emblems, stainless & good chrome. all lights work properly & all lenses very clean & fresh looking. front fog lights. front grille never damaged. rear 1/4 windows seal tight & stainless/chrome very good. Car was my daily driver in 1980's, retired to occasional use last 20 years. always maintained, kept clean & detailed nicely. engine & under hood super clean, tidy & fresh looking. suspension & under chassis too. All electrics work as they should (clock has a mind of it's own). starts, stops, steers, runs smooth and solid. drive anywhere ! I would not hesitate to drive across the country any time. horn loud & clear. starter & charge system reliable. newer battery. 4 very good nicely balanced matching Michelin tires with new other brand spare. original jack, lug wrench & unique spark plug wrench included. No rust. minor surface rust in usual floor areas from casual moisture, NO cancer/rust through. see photo. all floors, body, doors, chassis, suspension etc.in excellent/solid condition. this car never saw salted roads. super strong/tight feeling chassis. Original green paint polishes nicely. doors & 4 fenders repainted (close match) 20 years ago polish up nicely also. some minor chips & dings in this eye catching 46 year old car. RR fender is worst with recent scratches/dings from #^%*! skateboarder (see photo). Always gets looks, thumbs-ups & compliments. a car to be proud to own. Selling to finish building my Sonett 2 stroke vintage racer while I can still find the (key) hole... I can guarantee that underside/chassis is in perfect condition, although a bit soiled from some 46 years of use. front suspension was totally disassembled, cleaned, inspected, rebuilt & painted recently. rear brakes done also. rear axle is untouched & original. absolutely NO RUST underside/ mounting points or anywhere else on car except VERY minor surface, no cancer/no rust through on front floor area under mats where moisture hid as seen in photo with seats/floor boards remove. On Jul-02-13 at 18:18:58 PDT, seller added the following information: People have been asking why the fenders & doors were repainted. when I bought the car, both sides had MINOR parking lot dings & scratches. NO DENTS or DAMAGE of any kind. It was such a nice car & I just wanted to freshen it up, so I did. That was some 20 years ago, & over that period has had a couple scratches & dings since then. After all, it is a 46 year old car. Carport queen last 15 years, rarely driven since.
