Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1966 Honda Dream Custom. Clear title in my name. Frame # CA78-1014688. I built this bike a couple of years ago on a whim as a design study. I put NOS Honda S4 pistons/rings/pins/clips with a bore and hone job. I re-indexed CB77 cams to go along with the 360 Dream crank. I put new valves in along with cutting new seats and lapping the valves. New cam chain. New oil seals throughout. Volker Sachse from Germany set me up with one of his electronic ignition units that goes off of the crank with a programmable advance curve. I believe it has 9 different advance curve settings. You won't have to worry about bad/weak advance springs from the stock cam sprocket. New ignition coil, plug wires and caps. I put a CB77 transmission in to complement the 18" wheels I used in place of the 16" stock wheels. I fabricated the Dream headlight bucket to accept a CB77 speedo/tach unit along with the tach drive I installed on the cylinder head. Rebuilt fuel valve. Ditched the old paper filter/rubber snorkel intake for a UNI-foam filter. Original Honda stainless steel mufflers. CA72 gas tank. I installed new Hagon shocks on the rear. New drive chain, front and rear sprockets. New tires, 2.75-18 up front and 3.00-18 on the rear. New starter clutch springs and starter motor was disassembled, cleaned and regreased. NOS main wire harness. New AGM battery. NOS Honda clutch friction discs installed(the good ones, not the phenolic ones). New front and rear wheel bearings. New spokes front and rear. Brake backing plates disassembled, cleaned and cams greased. New solid state rectifier from Classic Honda Restoration. New foot peg rubbers front and rear. New seat cover with a 1" gel pad/foam cushion insert in the sweet spot. This is the most comfortable seat I have ever had on a Dream. Front end has a NOS steering stem, NOS stamped steel fork assy and NOS chrome suspension arm, 51210-253-000. New handlebars, cables and handlebar switches, left and right. Re-chromed heel/toe shifter. NOS Honda horn. High and low beam works, horn works, starter works, brake/tail light works.
