Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is this California built and original paint survivor 1957 Chevrolet 210 station wagon. This wagon was built at the factory in Los Angeles, CA and was optioned with this great looking color combo of Dusk Pearl & Imperial Ivory. Most of the paint is original with some small areas of touch ups and fill in's over the years. Factory fitting with this 283 V8 engine, Powerglide automatic transmission, and a few other accessories/options. The interior, besides the carpet being new, is original and in respectable condition for it's age. The drivers side of the front seat in worn in. The headliner is in good condition for it's age as well as the door panels. Overall it's a fairly dry wagon with some minimal rust in the floors and rockers. For the most part, it is solid and doesn't need any metalwork to continue to be used an enjoyed as it is. Body is fairly straight with some minor dings as seen in pictures. This wagon does not appear to have had any metal replacement done during it's lifetime. This wagon runs and drives well. The engine runs strong and does not smoke. New stock exhaust/muffler recently added. The transmission shifts smooth. The brakes work well and has the recent addition of new soft lines. This wagon has been lowered with cut springs up front and rear lowering blocks. The wheels are 18" front and 20" rear Coys with a good set of 40 series tires on all wheels. Most of the electrical works as it should: wipers, horn, headlights, temp/fuel gauges, license plate lights, interior lights, etc. I do know the speedometer and the turn signals do not currently work, and there may be a few other odds and ends that need sorting. The odometer reads just over 96k miles and I do believe that to be original. California dealer license plate and frame pictured are not included. Included with the sale is a clear Washington state title and license plates. Overall this is a great looking barn find patina'd wagon that gets plenty of attention and thumbs up wherever it goes.
