For sale is a 2001 Dodge 3500 cargo van that is a dedicated Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicle. IT WILL NOT RUN ON GASOLINE. I am the third owner to my knowledge, and have used it as a work vehicle for about 2 years. Original owner was in Maryland i believe, then it was in Milwaukee, and I moved it out to Colorado. Selling because I am getting out of the trades. If you are an electrician, plumber, carpenter, etc THIS VAN WILL MAKE YOU MONEY. If you live in an area that has enough CNG stations, your fuel costs will be anywhere from 50-80% of standard petrol. If you do not know about CNG, do your research. I am not here to educate you. Overall this vehicle would be rated in Good condition based on KBB: exterior has signs of age but engine and fuel tanks are solid. Some features of this particular van: ENGINE -CNG fuel system (2 injectors replaced and all injectors cleaned in 2012) -approx 13mpg equivalent -takes up to a 3600psi fill, which will give an operating range of approximately 180 miles. Range on a 3000psi fill is around 125miles. -approx 45,000 miles -CNG as a rule does not start well at below-freezing temps. It will start down to around 20 F, but it is not easy! Below 20, forget about it. BODY -has had vinyl decals removed -superficial rust spots on gutters / perimeter -small dents on hood, rear door, and below drivers side door -tires have approx 5000 miles on them, good life left -step bumper with ball hitch -drivers side rear brake light assembly housing is cracked, repaired with matching weatherproof tape -rear cargo door has been damaged from a theft (prior to the high-security locks; hole has been covered with a riveted/glued/painted steel panel) SECURITY -Masterlock hardened steel puck-style padlocks for both rear doors -side cargo door is missing lock tumbler (does not affect function) -cab is separated from cargo by steel panel w/ plexiglas -all metal doors to cargo area CARGO -three heavy-duty steel ladder rack supports allow you to easily transport long materials 16'+ -rear cargo area fits 4x8 sheetgoods vertically -heavy guage steel storage shelving on driver side rear fits large and small toolboxes, with 6' long storage compartment underneath (i used this for levels, etc) -rubber floor covering -metal bin on rear door fits a stubby ladder -fully functional exterior rear flasher with 4 flash patterns (left/right directional, spread, flash), rooftop flasher is installed but unsure if it works -roof vent has been covered with a riveted/glued steel panel -back-up beeper signal OTHER FEATURES -(2) DC outlets on dash -vertical, metal organizer slots in cab for paperwork, catalogs, etc -threaded floor studs between 2 seats for a third seat, console, etc -for more specific performance info, this article is pretty accurate: http://www.nrel.gov/docs/fy00osti/27848.pdf -ladders in pictures are NOT included TERMS -buyer is responsible for pickup / transport options -due to limited number of CNG fuel stations, this vehicle cannot be driven far beyond Colorado.
