I bought this Ghia with plans of making one out of two as I had a rust free 1963 body also but college is killing me so my projects are up for sale. This car was originally from Michigan where an old couple bought it from the dealer and parked it in 1991 as it sat in a barn until now. They did drive the car in the rough Michigan winters so the body doe have the usual Ghia rust spots but is restorable. The reason the car is so nice is that it is all original and un harmed. For starters the car does come with a CLEAN Ohio title in my name with all the matching numbers. The car is super clean for it being all original as this was the main reason for me buying it. The car has only 37,000 miles, and they are original miles. The car does still fire up and run well. The battery is tired but it can be heard running. It does roll freely for a CAR HAUL AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE DOES WORK. The regular brakes were partially done as all the wheel cylinders were replaced but it still needs a master cylinder so a drive home would not be advised. Now for starters, the trunk is all original with the original cardboard in real nice shape and the original Continental tire that is still holding air but rough. The interior of the car is just super clean as the dash pad has NO cracks, the dash has NO extra holes cut all or the knobs for the lights and accessories are all real nice and not cracked. The clock still runs but the radio only hums but the face plate and knobs are real nice also. The heater control knobs are also real nice with the color dots still on them. The ivory steering wheel has NO cracks. The seats are original upholstery with NO rips. The door panels and rear quarter panels are all original with NO rips or bends. The chrome is still in good shape and would polish nice but has a few minor pits. The arm rest and front panel pockets are also in great shape. The front and rear floor mats are ORIGINAL still mounted to the floor tabs and the under tart boards are also still there. All of the carpet is original with all of the rubber ware pads in good shape. The carpet does have some rough spots but is original. The back seat is in great original shape with NO rips and has the rubber hold strap still in place. The head liner is all original with NO rips also. Now going to the engine compartment, the original engine is all there with the original coil air cleaner and other hard to find parts. The muffler is shot and gone and the heater boxes are pretty rough also. All of the sheet metal on the engine block is in good shape also. The original tar boards as still in great shape in the engine compartment with NO rips are busted up pieces. One the bad side of course the body is rough and needs restored but is doable. The rockers, lower front and rear quarter, and other common rust areas need redone. The floor is still pretty solid though. The head light bucket area still seems pretty decent. The front hood is a good usable piece but the rear deck lid has some rust issues ate the bottom. Most of the chrome pieces will need re done for show as for the head light rings which are HELLA and the bumpers of course. The lower chrome molding pieces are missing a few. There is a dent by the drivers door also. I have many more pictures so feel free to ask. The tires are only a year old and hold air well with good tread as they are radial 165 x 15 tires. Naturally I WILL NOT DELIVER the car as the lucky buyer must pick up or arrange for a pick up by themselves. I will gladly help any way I can but that is about it on the pick up. The car rolls and steers freely and the emergency brake does work but the foot brakes do not work as a brake job will be needed for driving everyday.I have tried to explain the car as honestly and thourghly as possible but PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS!!!
