1955 FORD THUNDERBIRD This is a California car that came to Michigan in 1983 where it has been garage kept ever since. It is totally rust free. It is an original daily driver and is in good mechanical condition with new brake shoes (system cleaned and flushed and silicon fluid installed), new gas tank ( fuel lines flushed and carburetor cleaned and rebuilt), new exhaust system and new BF Goodrich whitewall radial tires. It has a professional paint job and many new chrome trim pieces and a refurbished interior . The original hard top (no portholes) has been restored with new paint and headliner. The soft top will have to be recovered before it can be used. The drive train has not been overhauled since everything seems to function quite well. The car is an eyecatcher and is fun to drive. This an as is, where is sale so ask any questions before bidding. Thank you. In response to a question about driving the car a long distance home, I realized that since I have only driven the car locally in nice weather that there are other concerns. The windshield wipers are not hooked up to vacuum so I do not know if they will work. Also the heater is not hooked up to the engine at the water lines, so I do not know if the heater will heat. the blower does blow. Thank you for looking.
