This car is a true 1969 Camaro SS X66 396/375hp car This 1969 Camaro was Hand Built by Stallion Autosport in Spartanburg, SC. No expense was spared building this vehicle. There were several stipulations put on the build by the customer. The stipulations were: The exterior sheet metal had to look original, it must be painted orange, it must have a big block, it must be a manual, must use the best suspension and parts that Detroit Speed inc. has to offer, must be able to compete in cone-courses and road-race tracks but still win car shows and be just as comfortable on the street, must use original gauges (in the dash and the console), dash had to look close to original, door panels had to resemble the original door panels w/ a speaker enclosure, the seats had to be covered in orange leather and hounds-tooth (real dyed leather hides), suede headliner, 18" wheels, and Wilwood brakes, master cylinders, and a brake proportioning valve mounted inside the car. WonBuilders Choice Award at the Goodguys Southern Nationals in Charlotte, Won Bristol Super Chevy event, etc. This car has a ton of one-off features and a lot ofengineering and design.The car was in the Dupont Registry for short while. http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/search/DRauSearchDetails.aspx?itemid=757198-468 BBC Big Brodix Aluminum heads, Bryant forged crank, forgedpistons and rods, Edelbrock polished Endurashine Air Gap intake, Holley HPcarb, custom one-off Lemons Headers. Machine work was completed by Clements Racing Engines. Motor is 10:1 andwill run on pump gas. This motor was built with the intention to add a centrifugalsupercharger, but the motor makes over 500hp naturally aspirated.-March polished Billet pulley system-Chevrolet Racing valve covers were modified, sanded smooth andpainted the color of the car-Custom Fabricated firewall -Handmade custom one-off Exhaust System Jet-hot coated (ovaltubing, V-band collector, NASCAR style Boom-Tubes w/ 5 small spintrap mufflersconstructed inside)-Viper T56 6-speed built by D&D Performance for 1000hp/1000 ft.lb. An adapter plate was constructed and mated to the Big Blockthrough an explosion proof QuickTime bell-housing. A McLeod billet Steeleflywheel was used as well as a McLeod Twin disk clutch. A adjustable hydraulic throw-outbearing was also designed and constructed through McLeod for this vehicle. The Wilwood brakemaster cylinder was gutted and redesigned into a one-off clutch master cylinder.-Detroit Speed Hydroformed Front Suspension with remotecanister double adjustable coil over shocks, Power Rack & pinion, and C6Corvette spindles.-Detroit Speed Quadralink rear suspension with Koniadjustable coil overs and Detroit Speeds Mini-tub.-Custom 9" with Moser 31 spline axles and 3.70 Detroit Lockerin a Nodular 3rd member-14” Wilwood discs brakes and 6 piston calipers in front, 13"Wilwood 4 pistons in rear- Fikse one-off 3-piece Wheels 18x10 w/ BFG 275/35/18 Front, 18x12 w/ BFG 335/35/18 Rear. Once the center of the wheels were cut on the machine, they were immediately powder coated with a clear coat. These wheels a look amazing in person. -Kenwood Flip up screen DVD/Navigation-Custom Kicker sound system w/ 2 L7 Solobaric 10” subsmounted in a hidden box, 4 Kicker cross-overs and 2 Kicker amps were placed inthe trunk, 2 - 5.25” Kicker SS component speakers were molded into the doorpanels and 2 – 6” Kicker SS component speakers were molded in beside the rearseats.-Vintage Air System (all AC lines were converted toStainless steel braided lines) a billet bulk head was hidden behind the rightfender-Cobra Misano Front seats: the seats were reupholstered inorange leather with Hounds-tooth inserts to look similar to the design of the69 Camaro seats (seat heaters were added to the bottom and back of theseats with a control mounted on the console). The Rear seats were constructedto match the front seats and covered with the same leather and hounds-tooth. This vehicle will include one extra hide of leather that was dyed with the original orange leather used on this vehicles seats and door panels (for a just-in-case).-One-off Fabricated Headliner was covered in black Suede withthe addition of small LED light strip above each side window-One-off Radiator designed by Auto-Rad w/ dual Spal fans along with Spal fancontroller. One single piece of Billet Aluminum was used to construct a CompleteRadiator Support.-Detroit Speed Subframe Connectors channeled through thefloor pans for ground clearance- One off Gauge panel was designed and constructed from sheet metal alongwith subtle changes to the original dash. Original style gauges were used in a designed and fabricated Bezel. The dashpad was modified and covered in black leather.-Console was fabricated & covered in black leather andholds an original style gauge pod, power windows buttons, an original consoleemblem from 69 and the heated seatscontroller-One off set of door pull handles were designed and fabricated fromBillet Aluminum along with one-off door lock Knobs-One off set of brake and clutch pedals were designed and constructedfrom billet aluminum along with custom billet pedal pads-One off design push button start and a keyed kill switch-All paint Materials used were from Glasurit. The Color is Inferno Orange Metallic. The black paint used in the engine bay,interior, and undercarriage is called Jet Black.-Layers of Dyna-mat was used on the: firewall, floors,doors, trunk floor, and Qtr panels along with a light weight material for theroof to keep the noise and heat out of the interior-Detroit Speed billet hood hinges-Fessler billet trunk hinges-Marquez Design lower fog lights with billet ring-Fessler billet tail lights with one off LED lighting alsodesigned-Rick’s Custom stainless steel gas tank with twin Aeromotivepumps THE BEST OF EVERYTHING!!
