Vehicle Detail
This bike is being relisted .Do not bid if you cannot pay.Up for auction is this 1969 Triumph T150 Trident. The bike is in totally original condition. The paint on the tank, the fenders and the side covers is all original and is in excellent condition. The painted stripes and the hand pulled pin stripes are all original as well. The seat is original cover original foam uncut and barely worn. The gold trim on the seat base and both side covers is perfect as wellPerfect badges and original rubber knee grips. This bike will not need a repaint or "restoration"These parts are only original once. All the unique to 1969 parts like the instrument nacele w/amp gauge the gray faced tach and speedo the orange steering damper knob, the short headlight, the seat grab rail and so on, nothing is missing. The frame is all original and could be touched up if you felt the need.I have the original chrome header pipe as well as the chrome down pipes. The "Ray Gun"mufflers as well they are in very good condition not brand new but they will polish up nice and are original factory parts. The 1969 only clear hooter horns are here as well as the plastic covers they will need to be rebuilt everything is here inc. all the mounting brackets original nuts bolts and washers and a spare horn for partsI have the English pattern bars on the bike as well as Norman Hyde rearset foot controls. The bike looks much better this way, more like the stylists intended. The original buckhorn bars as well as the original footrests are inc.in the sale.I rode this bike for 1100 miles or so in the mid 90'sIt handled very well and shifted great but was a bit"smokey"Legend has it that the bike has a new .020 over top end,so the original owner told meKnowing these bikesI think the piston rings were damaged when the barrels were lowered onto the pistons. It is very difficult to do without the factory ring compressor tools. This machine has been sitting since 1997 and deserves to be disassembled crankshaft oilways cleaned, motor measured mic'd and checked.Build this motor correctly...you don't have to spend anything on paint seat and trimW/the 3 into one extractor it sounds better than my 98 T595 w/a spyder exhaust...like a Rolls Royce Merlin on full song...The original harness is uncut and every thing worked inc.the seldom seen kill switch on the right bar.The title is clear and in my nameAll original Lucas bulbs, lenses reflectors and connectorsIf you make me a reasonable offer I will sell you the Akront high flange alloy rims and hubs I have listed. They would make this bike.Oh yeah, look at the left side of the rear fender. It has a state of Penna. registration/inspection sticker that expires 10 1970 That is cool provenence Reasonable open and no reserve on this bike Good Luck
