1969 Ranchero with the very rare Rio Grande Package . I believe less then 900 were built . The Door VIN tag was unique with the Rio Grande Package as it has a 6 digit DSO and exterior color is blank as thay were painted in one of three colors with black out hood and lower rocker area . Also the tag reads Special Performance Vehicle reguardless of engine option . This car was built with the 351 Windsor 4 barrel motor , automatic trans,power steering and power disc brakes. Delivered to district (72) San Jose California new . If not for signs of rust under the vinyl top this would be a rust free car . The car has not been undercoated ,no hidden surprises ,the underneath of this car is clean and straight, I took one picture of the underneath to give you an idea . I think the car was restored once back in the early 1990's , now show it's age with a dent in the tailgate and a few minor issues elsewhere . ZERO rust in any of the lower body panels to deal with , Just the roof issue I mentioned earlier . I have only driven it local as I left it registered non op . The engine sound good and I see no leaks , trans shifts , brakes and steering OK but I hear a differential noise on deaccelleration that will need to be addressed . Other then that you could use this car as is or restore and have a VERY RARE Ranchero . I don't think there are many left and many people don't even know they made one.
