I am selling my 2002 HONDA SHADOW 600VLX DELUXE MOTORCYCLE. It is an absolutely gorgeous purple with plenty of shiny chrome fun machine...a real looker. I have recently replaced the tread with new Dunlop Tires and tubes and put in a fresh Interstate battery. So it starts right up and is ready to move out with you this Spring for a short drive on a country road, a daily ride to work, or a longer weekend trip to gather with other cycling friends . I have been riding motorcycles for over 40 years and this is my favorite bike. The main reason I like it is the low seat. I am a lady who stands 5' 3" but am still able to place my feet flat on the ground and balance the bike. I feel safe on it, that's important. Now, let me tell you about my bike. Much more detailed information may be found in the bike's 216-page owner's manual which is stored on the bike inside the right side cover. V-twin cylinder 583 cc water-cooled engine with an easy 14,000 miles on it 4-speed transmission....one down and three up. Averages 60 miles per gallon of gas. The locking tank holds three gallons including the reserve tank. Very low and comfortable 25" seat height for those of us who are a bit short-legged (the lowest height of Honda's cruiser line) Dry weight 459 pounds New Dunlop tires and tubes Fresh Interstate battery Universal windshield for ease of ride and clothing protection Good condition helmet with face shield Front fork storage bag with a good length of chain and combination lock for security when you park your bike Large double-buckled trunk on rear attached to padded sissy bar Tank bib with velcrow-closure pouch Roll bar attached to front frame to protect sides of bike from damage if bike is layed down My bike has always been stored in a garage and we've seldom been caught out in the rain on a ride. (I must say though that riding in the rain on a warm day is exhilarating.) Buyer is responsible for shipment of the bike. A $100.00 deposit is due upon auction end and the remainder, in the form of cashier's check, is due within 7 days of the completion of sale. I will then send your bill of sale and the bike's title. I want to note that the pics do not do justice to the beautiful purple color.
