Vehicle Detail
For Sale 1970 T100C Triumph Trophy 500.I have had this bike for years w/the intention of restoration. The 70 Trophy 500 may be one of the best looking M/C's ever made. The color, the stainless fenders .the Chrome high exhaust etc, etc, etc. This is an original unmolested bike. All numbers match. The wiring harness is uncut. It has it's folding footrests, the Wide Ratio gearbox, small headlight, smiths120MPH speedo, which I think shows the actual mileage as stated in description. The seat cover and foam are original and still supple.!9 inch Jones front wheel w/the 71/2 inch twin leading shoe brake and a dunlop 18 inch rear wheel as spec'd by factory. The wheels are in good shape w/minor rust on the rims, still very good.Stainless fenders are very good to excellent with 2 very small dings that could be worked and polished out. I will send a set of painted front fender stays as well as the chrome The chrome ones just look better. I do not know why there is no front tire It probably was a piece of shit and I took it off so no one would use the wheel. It rolls fine... you have to deal.Front end was redone w/bushings and tubes it has new tapered roller head bearings that will need to be re packed and adjusted.Primary has brand new chain and a MAP alloy clutch cover.I pulled the gears out of the shell they look great w/ no nicks or chips.Motor ran pretty well 16 years ago,but should be disassembled and rebuilt, top end as well.I think this bike is worth doing a proper job on.The Tank is ready for final color.Get it from Hutchinson. It's hard to match but you will not need much, the tank is pin straight and ready to finish.I have the original transfers which will come as well [no stick on plastic shit] The frame is good but would look great refinished.Iam sending the low pipes which are for a Daytona they are good quality if you want lows. But for God's sake save up and buy the proper exhaust system it makes the bike. You could get this running and ride it around. It probably would be fine but I cannot vouch for crankshaft oilways being plugged from sitting.Don't ruin this matching #'s motor...get a cheap pile to ride around on.Sorry about this book like description but I am offering this bike w/no reserve and a reasonable open bid w/the hope that some one cool gets this thing....I have way to many projects to finish in one lifetime. thanks and good luck
