Automatic What a sharp car...This is a very nice example of a 2000 Vanden Plas. This is a true luxury sedan that is in very good shape both inside and out, and it runs and rides great. Obviously, it has been well taken care of. This is lifetime California / Florida car with just 45,785 original miles on it. It is loaded with features, including the optional heated seats and premium audio system ($1600 in factory options). But the real difference is inside the car. Added to Jaguar's real wood trim and high-grade leather is a generous amount of genuine alligator hide, professionally tailored to the interior. The exterior is in very nice shape. There are no notable dents or dings, and the paint shines all around. Jaguar calls this beige metallic color "Topaz". Carfax shows no accident history or any other problems. You can view the Carfax report by clicking here. Exterior features include fog lamps and 18" chrome wheels. The wheels have center caps that say "supercharged" but this car is not. The wheels are not stock XJ8 wheels, they may be from an XJR. The interior is what truly sets this car apart. Genuine alligator hide is used to accent almost every interior component from the seats to the door panels to the consoles, steering wheel, headrests and even the parking brake boot and rear deck. The hide matches the color of the wood trim in the car. Whether or not you like this look is a matter of taste and/or style. One thing that is not debatable is the quality of the craftsmanship. This is superior work. Every piece of alligator hide is a perfect fit and beautifully stitched. We have been told by two different sources that a custom alligator interior like this would probably cost about $10,000 to have done. The interior is clean, and also in very good condition. There are no rips or tears in the seats. The carpets, dash, and door panels are also in very good shape. Both front seats have power controls and the driver's seat has memory. Both front seats are also heated. The rear seat is in excellent shape. Wooden tray tables fold down from the front seats. Rear seat riders have their own A/C vents, and the seats are also individually heated. This Jaguar offers a full compliment of luxury features: power windows, locks and mirrors; cold auto air conditioning; Alpine AM/FM/Cassette stereo with steering wheel controls; power tilt & telescopic wheel; trip computer; cruise control, and much more. Please see the "features" chart near the top of the description. Safety features include dual air bags, front side air bags, traction control and ABS There is a 6 disc CD changer in the trunk. There is also a power glass sunroof.Take a good look from the top of the roof - NO RUST. Its common for Jaguars from northern climates to have significant rust in this area. This is a rust-free California / Florida car. There is also a programmable gate/garage opener. Other areas of concern for this generation of XJ8 include discolored rearview mirrors and inoperable ash tray and cup holder lids. This car has NONE of those problems. The trunk is clean and roomy. The 4.0 liter V8 runs smooth and strong. It's rated at a healthy 290 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque. The way this one runs indicates it has been properly maintained, but we do not have records. Carfaxshows accurate mileage and no problems of any kind. This car may be driven. It now has 45,785 miles on it, and it could have a few more by the time the auction is over. Legal Disclaimer: The parties agree to the following with regard to dispute resolution: Any disputes between the parties must first be addressed by mediation. The mediation must occur in Broward County, Florida. The parties will split the cost of the mediator. The parties must personally appear in Broward County for the mediation. If a party is a corporation, then only the President of the corporation or the corporation's highest ranking officer will satisfy the aforementioned appearance requirement for mediation. Representatives of the parties will not satisfy the aforementioned requirement. The aforementioned mediation is required prior to the initiation of civil litigation. If mediation does not resolve the dispute, then the parties agree that only the 17th Judicial Circuit Court for Broward County, Florida can resolve the dispute. The parties specifically agree that they will be responsible for their own litigation costs and attorney fees for mediation, civil litigation and appeals.
