LET ME KNOW WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO SELL THIS TRUCK AND ILL DO MY BEST, REALLY DONT WANT IT GOING AS SCRAP, ITS WORTH MORE THEN THAT. My grandfather drove this truck off the lot in 1977 and drove it all his life until he gave it to me, when he gave it to me it needed a lot of work, rusted fenders doors didn't work right bench seat had no padding anymore and transmission was blown(had a 3 speed manual). I worked for a year for this truck and he gave it to me when I turned 18, since then I have done nothing but try to get it back to its original beauty. I replaced the front fenders, changed the transmission into a th350 auto rebuilt from a tranny shop, put a new carb on it, replaced the radiator, replaced the fuel pump, replaced the rear seal, I changed the drivers side door to one that works. I stopped working on it because I don't do body work and that's mainly what it needs. there's a rusted out section on the cab support, both doors have rust coming through along the bottom, rear quarter panels are starting to rust through and the hood is definitely gone from rust. I changed the steering column to a automatic column and never hooked the linkage to the tranny, currently it has a aftermarket shift lever that needs repair as well. The truck has sat in the desert since 2008 when we first moved out here, when I last checked all the electrical worked fine, lights tail lights cab lights turn signals radio and headlights all came on. The tires were put on to tow it across town and are not safe for driving, I have 6 rims for this truck all original chevy 5 lug rims. The interior is pretty trashed, the bench seat needs to be redone, the dash is cracking apart, there is no head lining in it ether. floor and kicker panels are in good condition and from what I can tell only have surface rust. the truck bed is in fair condition and has the typical rusting, it has a newer chrome bumper. The engine is a inline straight 6 single barrel carb and is currently torn down to the pistons and is still in the truck with ALL its parts, engine was great and was running with a slight knock during acceleration, I was going to replace the rings and hone the cylinders, but, I am now broke and can no longer finish it. Some one has stolen the tail gate and the muffler off the truck, but, it does still have the cat and exhaust end tube. I recently started working on it again in hopes I could get the money to finish it, I need a vehicle so I can get out of this small town I live in and find work, currently I am homeless and living where ever I can, friends, family have been helping me out, I am hoping this auction will bring me enough money to buy a cheap newer car that is safer then this truck for my daughter and I plan on living in it in California while I look for work. my wife is currently in California because her family bused her there for her mothers funeral and she is planning to stay there as well. I will send any extra photo's of the truck as requested, clear title from California in my name. VIN MATCHES PINK SLIP!!! TRUCK CAN STAY WHERE ITS AT FOR AT LEAST TWO MONTHS BEFORE IT HAS TO BE MOVED ETHER BY THE HIGHEST BIDDER OR TOW TRUCK TO SCRAP YARD. STARTING BID IS THE PRICE I WOULD GET IF I NEED TO SCRAP IT FOR CASH TOWARDS A CHEAP CAR IF I FIND ONE!!!
