Vehicle Detail

1949 Dodge Coronet Club Coupe - AMAZING ORIGINAL - SEE IT RUN 1949 Dodge Coronet Club CoupeThis is an amazing car. With the exception of one repaint in original black color some 30 years ago, this car is COMPLETELY ORIGINAL AND UNRESTORED. 2 previous owners. 44,600 original miles. Please look at the photos and video and remember what you are seeing is just how this car came out of the Dodge factory 64 YEARS AGO. Always maintained. Never abused. No accidents or damage, and most importantly, NO RUST. See the undercarriage photos. Original flathead 6 engine has never been rebuilt (with only 44,600 miles, why would you?) It runs smooth and quiet with no issues and plenty of power. The 3 speed Fluid Drive semi-automatic transmission works and shifts perfectly. Brakes are excellent. Tires are bias ply wide whitewalls, about 15 years old but run true and straight with only 4,400 miles on them since installation (See photo of door tag.) Car has been driven just 5,270 miles in the past 15 years. Handles great in-town or on the highway. A real pleasure to drive. Car has had recent service and is ready for the road. Fly-in and drive it home. The interior is exceptional. Again, please see the photos. The upholstery is original with no wear, stains or tears. Not dry or brittle. Incredible. The original rubber floor mat and carpet are also excellent. The dashboard wood graining is like new. It appears there may have been some touch-up to the wood graining on the door moldings, but that is it. Otherwise all original. Original headliner is excellent. All gauges work. The paint, while 30 years old, is excellent. Deep glossy shine throughout with no damage or wear. Chrome, stainless and brightwork are also excellent throughout. This car is truly a time capsule. Rarely does one see a car this original and this nice anymore. As the old saying goes: "Anyone can restore a car, but they're only original ONCE." And this one IS original! This car is an ideal candidate for Preservation Class showing and would be welcome at any car show for judging or display. It is also a great road car and one you'll enjoy touring long distances or just taking down to your local ice cream parlor. Wherever you go, you'll be assured of admiring glances and heads shaking in disbelief when you tell them "It's UNRESTORED."A realistic reserve has been placed on this car in keeping with its originality, condition and rarity.
