(And by default your Paypal account must be active!!) I will not accept bank checks, personal checks, money orders or money wires. Please be ready to purchase this car if you are the winning bidder. I simply cannot store this vehicle any longer. (Barely tolerant wifey is upset it is still here!). I also lowered the reserve slightly to assure it's prompt departure. '93 Volvo 240 Classic Wagon for sale. 5 Speed Manual M47 "Million Mile" transmission with the 2.3L 4 cyl "Bulletproof" B230F engine. PS, PB, PW, & A/C blows cold. '93 was the final production year for The Brick and has the most refinement including airbag and anti lock brakes. This car has been well cared for and everything works as it should on this car. Odometer, blower motor, seat heats, power mirrors and defrosters, rear wiper, cruise control, etc. High numbered. This one is #1324 of the final 1600 produced. That means only 276 240's were produced behind this one. According to the official Volvo 240 Classic National Registry, there are very few known 5 speed M47 manual Classics still in existence. I've been trying to confirm with the VCOA the exact totals but the 1993 production numbers are elusive. But it is safe to say stick Classic wagons are very, very rare. I was told by a VCOA member that this may be one of less than ten green Classic manual wagons still on the road today. Seriously. If you'd like to learn more about the Classic Editions, check out The Volvo Club of America at VSAdotOrg Mechanical 242,900 miles on a working odometer and running strong. Carfax shows this vehicle lived in a Southern state for most of it's life and it shows no rust. None on the rockers, not the panels, drip guards, tail gate, underneath, wheel wells, leading edges or anywhere really. There is one single dime sized spot of rust that can be found on the drivers door jamb just below the VIN sticker. It's the only spot. Carfax also shows the odometer was broken & repaired at a very young age and assumed accurate ever since. It purrs like a cat and the soft highway ride is very nice. No indicator or check engine lights on the dash panel row and NO oil or transmission leaks on this vehicle. It's good to go. I just spent $1000+ on a tune up for you, oil change, new flame trap, rear trans seal & bearings, both new motor mounts plus a new trans mount. The vehicle has also recently been thoroughly inspected by a highly qualified local Volvo technician with a clean bill of health. Within the last 35,000 miles this car has a new timing belt, new mass air flow sensor, new fuel pump, new thermostat, plus the recent seals, oil change and tune up. It recently passed tough NJ emissions & inspection with no problems. I have never had an ounce of worry about driving this car long distances. It's made to gobble up highway miles. Interior Overall the inside is in very good to excellent shape with 1 small dashboard crack. The recently replaced tan cloth seats (front & rear) are in very good condition. The center console was replaced including 2 new OEM heater switches & mirror controls. Everything looks new & functions as it should. In the rear, the pull-over leather cargo area cover is included and completely functional. Headliner is in decent shape but has 2 very small holes over the rear doors (where an old clothes rack might've gone across?). Rear seats fold down nicely for a huge storage area. More than almost every SUV! Exterior There is some average wear on this vehicle. A few very minor dings and small scratches abound but no clear coat paint fading at all. It was obviously garaged for many years. But only the roof rack shows some paint fading. There is 1 scrape area confined to the left rear quarter panel area. I'm not an auto body guy but the panel looks completely savable. It looks to be minor damage. The custom 14" double X rims are in really good shape with minor rash & wear. They're mounted on 4 brand new (less than 2,000 miles) nitrogen filled all weather Michelin tires. To finish the 100% complete refurbishment of this Classic you will need to complete the final 3 steps: 1. Repair scrape on left rear quarter panel area. 2. Prep the few minor dings and paint. 3. Find the nearest classic car show. It's almost there. Just promise to send me some pictures when it's finished. I welcome you to come test drive it or bring your mechanic for inspection before auction end. I am completely reachable by email and glad to promptly answer any of your questions. Please remember this is a used car being sold AS IS and by bidding you are committing to purchasing this vehicle. No auction winning tire kickers or wire transfer games please. I hold the clear title in-hand and will not release it to you without complete payment confirmation. The car is located in Robbinsville, NJ 08691. Very easy to get to from anywhere. I'm close to I-95, Route 1, NJ Turnpike, Route 295 & 130. All are all less than 10 mins away. I can also pick you up at a train station. It's a short train ride from either NYC or Philly. Amtrak service stops in Trenton (10 mins away). NJ Transit trains stop at Hamilton Station (5 mins away) on the Northeast Corridor line. If you'd like to fly in, I can probably arrange my schedule to pick you up with notice. Both Newark & Philadelphia airports are equally 1 hour drive away. I will also offer to deliver this car for a non negotiable fee of $2.25/mile using the shortest route on Google maps. I'll figure out how to get back home. I will consider shipping this vehicle but all the shipping details and arrangements are completely at your time and expense. Please, I cannot store this vehicle for more than 7 days after auction end. I have been as truthful as possible in all descriptions and pictures. Because I would expect the same from you. Please note this car is also advertised locally and on CL too. I reserve the absolute right to end this auction. I'll also listen to your reasonable offer. This car will guide you safely through the Badlands or just Drive All Night down Thunder Road. It will always get you back home safely. Thanks for viewing & Good Luck!
