Vehicle Detail

1966 Chevy Pickup, with a 283cc V8 engine and a 3 speed, on the column, manual transmission, two wheel drive, in great shape for it's age. This truck was bought new by a woman who lived in the Dalles, Oregon and driven by her until she died at 90 years of age. Her estate sold it to an idiot that painted it black with red trim. The original colors were blue and white. When I bought it, I did my best to pressure wash the black off, that is why the paint job is spotty. The only rust that I can find is on the bottom of the front quarter panels. Typical of these trucks. There are dents and dings on the body, many of which I have pulled out. The wood in the bed needs to be replaced, but is still useable as is. The truck is all original. No one has messed with it mechanically. I have all of the chrome trim, most of it new, some of it original, that goes with it. The following is a list of repairs that I have done to it. I have all of the receipts to go with it. New radiator hose, alternator, head lights, radiator drain cock, thermostat & housing, fuel filters, battery cables, oil filter, points, plugs, condenser, distributor cap, rotor, ignition switch, bumper bolts, wiper blades, tail lights & bulbs, head light switch, NEW TIRES, temperature gauge sending unit, original vehicle manuals, including shop manual, new chrome and some original chrome and a box of spare parts. In addition to this stuff, I took it in to the dealer and had the following work done. A complete tuneup of the engine, oil & filter changed, transmission serviced, differential serviced & new tires installed. The mechanic who serviced the vehicle said that he had never worked on a truck this old that ran this good. He was amazed! The speedometer says 65,642 miles. I am ASSUMING that it has 165,642 miles on it, but do not know that for sure. It could have 65K, or 165K, or more, but I doubt it. It is in too good of shape and runs too good for more. Whoever buys it will need to make arrangements for shipping, or come here to pick it up. I would be willing to pick you up at the Portland, Oregon airport, if you fly in. I have included picture, if you need more let me know what you would like to see. My phone number is 509-493-0259 if you have any questions, or you can e-mail me.I have $3000 in this truck as it sets. I know it is worth more than that. I don't have the time to restore it and just want to get my money back. It will make someone a great truck. Good luck bidding. On Apr-20-13 at 06:56:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I also found some rust on the floor board, on the drivers side only. I have included pictures of this and some pictures of the frame and cab mounts as well. I didn't know it was there until I was asked for pictures of that area.
