Up for sale is a 1994 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6. This is a nice, inexpensive 4X4 that could be used as a daily driver or as the basis for a good off road rig. The Bad: Truck has the typical rust starting in a few places, at tailgate along door bottoms and at rear quarters below rear doors. Not bad, except the tailgate as shown in the photos. There is a little of the typical oil leakage from this 3VZE engine. There is some seepage at the front differential. I believe the truck will need u-joints, as there is vibration that feels like u-joints that starts around 60-70 mph. Valvetrain is a little noisy, as is common with a lot of these truck 3.0s. The rear defroster does not work. The factory radio/tape/cd player works fine, but the display goes out sometimes when warm. Paint is faded on the hood and roof. There is a dent and small spot on the passenger rear door, but I have a spare door that is an exact duplicate. The front bumper is slightly tweaked and there are a few holes drilled down low on the passenger side front of the bumper cover near the bottom by factory fog light location. Interior is pretty clean, but seat fabric up front is a little torn in spots and the typical dash pad crack is there. The Good: A lot good about this truck. I bought it at roughly 142K. Since purchase I have: done complete timing belt and water pump job with tensioner, etc., replaced washer pumps, wipers, complete tune up minus fuel filter, new front rotors and pads, flushed entire brake hydraulics, all new BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A TKO tires, new rear shoes come with it, replaced the knock sensor and wiring with new shielded wiring so there will never be an issue with knock sensors. It has one mounted in the lift hook, and a new unit in the block with the pigtail all ready. Currently the one in the lift hook is connected. Air meter has been re-clocked to reduce factory rich condition. EVERYTHING works in this truck except for the rear defroster. All else, works, the cruise, all windows, 4X4, lights, locks, keyless entry, AC has a new compressor and charge and blows ice cold, roof works smooth, engine runs excellent, good oil pressure, coolant temp., muffler/tailpipe was replaced at purchase, Aux. lights are Hella 500s and Blazer Explorer fogs, both actuated with illuminated switches at left knee panel and slaved to the low and high beams through relays. Sound system still sounds very good, power antenna works, truck drives quietly, with no clunks or issues, steering column seal was also replaced. Front CV axles replaced. Chassis is in good shape with no apparent rust at frame rails or other structures. there is some typical surface rust underneath as shown. All gauges work, all indicators, and the 4X4 light come on as they should. All roof racks intact and moveable. Truck has a good inspection until 11/13. It was done, according to Toyota, on 6/19/98. Then also done in 2006 was recall 50N for the power steering relay rod.
