Vehicle Detail
What I have up for auction is a 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28. Since my ownership I have replaced / rebuilt the following: New BF Goodrich TA Radials (zero miles) New Shocks Newly powder coated original Z-28 Wheels Four N.O.S. Z-28 Center Caps Four New Beauty Bands New Lug Nuts New Exterior Door Handles (Driver and Passenger) New Dual Exhaust Rebuilt Transmission to show quality standards New Front and Rear Z-28 Emblems New Sony AM/FM CD Player with Sony Amp and new 6 x 9 Speakers New Interior as follows: Sill Plates Carpet and sound deadener / insullation Floor Mats Shifter Plate Console Lid Headliner / Deck Shelf and Sunvisors Rubber Weather Strip on Doors and Windows Door Pins and Bushings (Driver's Side) Window Cranks and Door Handle Cups Changed oil and filters, spark plugs and wires, rotary button and dist. cap New Battery New Front Brake Pads, Rotors, and Wheel Bearings The list goes on and on . . . I am sure I have forgotten some things, but you get the point. The interior of this Z-28 is in very good condition for its age. It has the typical Camaro dash curl up from the sun/heat. All the guages, including tach, are working except the clock. This is a factory A/C car. The air compressor is not currently on the car, but I do have it (not sure of its condition), and I will include it along with the brackets; everything else is there. It is a very good driving car and would not take much to get it to the next level. It has original paint on a lot of the car, but has been painted and spotted-in here and there. As I stated, it has an excellent sound system and the exhaust sounds great as well. Sometime in its life someone had added the 80-81 fender flares, which I removed, and thus the reason for the paint mishaps in those areas. I left the front spoiler on, even though I realize that the 1978 Z-28 did not have one from the factory . . . I just like the look. This Z-28 most definitely needs paint, but is enjoyable as is. It is very dependable and clean inside. This Camaro is from California and has never been exposed to salty roads, etc. It is a very solid car. I also have the build sheet.
