For sale is my 1978 Puch Newport moped. Over $2500 invested in making this one of the fastest and most reliable Puchs you will ever see. My own upgrades include: * Tank sandblasted and coated * 70cc motor * Hot pipe * New big air filter * New carb * New tires and tubes, front and back LOW RESERVE! I have an extra seat and misc extra parts that will go with the moped. She is not a glamour girl - original paint has great patina but also plenty of scuffs over the years. Moped has always been stored in climate-controlled indoors. No dents, crashes or accidents though. Starts up easily everytime and runs like a bat out of hell. Single-speed (I hate the two-speed Puchs). Lights work, however the horn and speedometer although present, do not. I have the left sidecover however it does not fit following the carb and air filter upgrades. It can be cut and modified to fit however I haven't done it. I'm known in New York City as an experienced motorcycle/moped collector and always take good care of and maintain each of my bikes, whether its the Laverda 750SFC or the the 70cc Puch.
