Vehicle Detail
1995 Volkswagen Cabrio Convertible with Automatic Transmission. Color Black with black interior. This is a good running beater car or can be used for good parts car. Has a very smooth ride and good gas mileage with 2.0L 4cyl engine. All electric windows work except for drivers, which is mechanically locked in the closed, up position. The interior and door panels are in very good condition… not torn up like others that have recently sold on Ebay. Engine runs well and transmission shifts smoothly. Tires are in good condition. The top stitched seam above the rear window split open about 4 years back, but the top is old and not worth re-stitching, so has been patched and is water tight. The front 2 fenders have rust. The driver side has surface rust and the passenger side has rusted thru at bottom. (See Photos) The cruise control and air conditioning do not work. Cassette Player & CD Changer Control in place of radio, however CD changer was beyond repair and junked. The speedometer and tachometer quit working after taking the car out of storage this spring. I’m told that the harness connection to the interior gauges may have corroded, the connector on back of instrument cluster may not be making proper connection or one of the stepper motors may have failed. This is very common problem with older VWs. Engine and transmission have slow oil leaks. I believe they are rocker cover and pan gasket problems. Please look at all photos which show overall condition of exterior and interior before bidding. Winning bidder is required to pay $250 deposit thru PayPal within 2 hours of auction end.
