Vehicle Detail

BID TO WIN THIS ONE NO RESERVE, SOLD TO THE HIGH BIDDER… This your chance to own one of the most sought after American muscle cars at a very affordable price. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro base (not an SS or RS) Started out as a base model auto and was later converted to a 350 4 speed 12 bolt posi I’m guessing about 10 years ago. I run a small auto restoration shop and took this car in on trade. We specialize in pre 1972 Mopars, therefore I will not be much help in answering specific questions about this Chevy, because I know nothing about them. Along with the car, I received over $11,500.00 in recent receipts. We tallied up another $1,200.00 in replacing various missing chrome pieces/ badges, bumpers, and interior pieces. This car is an awesome “driver” quality bright pearl yellow Camaro and is lacking somewhat in the body work and paint. The work was done about 6 years ago where someone replaced the front clip w/ cowl hood, trunk lid/ spoiler and gas tank with new lines. (all new metal). Sheet metal was not aligned perfectly and the body work and paint was done by a body shop. I would consider the body and paint to be “fair”. The car looks amazing from 15 feet and could be left this way and enjoyed for years. The car would show well at your neighborhood car show or cruise night, don’t look to win World of Wheels with this. Upon close inspection, you can expect to see some chips and cracks and poor gap alignment. With that being said, the car would make a great weekend cruiser to just enjoy as it is, or with a little work (block and repaint) you would have a stunning example of raw American muscle. This car starts, runs, and drives flawlessly the entire drivetrain was professionally rebuilt which included all front end parts, body bushings, shocks, exhaust, brakes and cooling system. List of recent work includes; Professionally rebuilt 350 ( .40 over 10.5-1 all new pistons new crank) Comp Cam (286/286 lift .490/.490) aluminum roller rockers, Pete Jackson gear drive, topped with a new pair of Dart 202 heads, Victory Jr intake, Holley 750 double pumper. New MDS 6a ignition system, new oil pump. Headers with Flowmaster American Thunder 2 ½ exhaust system. New radiator, alternator, starter, oil pan, plug wires, and air cleaner. Borg Warner Super T-10 4-speed (rebuilt) with new Hurst shifter High performance Clutch New wheels and tires 235/50zr-17 front and 255/50r-17 rear New Auto meter Phantom gauge system. The car has a very solid body and frame with just two patched areas on the front and rear driver side floor (can be seen in under side pics). This car is very fast and will ignite the tires, shifts smooth and snaps your head back. I drove it around the block and got looks from everyone, a genuine head turner. There are a few small pieces missing, such as lower windshield trim, wipers need to be hooked up, front seats could use new covers ($140.00 Tamaraz) I highly recommend a personal inspection of the car prior to bidding as a nonrefundable $500.00 deposit will be required 24 hours after the close of the auction, NO EXCEPTIONS!! Call Joe 630-229-1490 Mike 630-999-3114 with questions. Be patient with emails, I will answer all within a day. On Apr-07-13 at 16:20:08 PDT, seller added the following information: The rocker panels were replaced improperly, looks like new panels were placed over the old ones?? not too noticable, would be an easy fix but, would require paint work. If you're looking for a driver, I would just leave it alone, and no, my shop did not do the restoration. This car is not a #1 car so don't expect a high quality show car, unless you're willing to spend a few more bucks. For a little money there is still room to make a lot.
