I have a 1979 GMC Jimmy, High Sierra with a full time four wheel drive system that I purchased from the original owner. The previous owner has been servicing this thing at the same dealership since 1979. Everything from oils changes to motor and transmission replacements. Anything this thing needed, they did it. The 350/5.7 liter GM Goodwrench engine has approximately 5000 miles on it. This Jimmy originally came equipped with power windows, air conditioning, cruise control & tilt wheel. I bought this truck with the intentions of fully restoring it and since then have lost interest. I have completely rebuilt the front end, including new ball joints, new axel joints, new inner and outer bearings, new front rotors, new front brake pads and brand new tie rod ends. After completing the front end, I started my focus on the body, that's when life started to get very busy with my 2 little girls. As you can see from all of the pictures, we started to remove all of the rusty body panels including the two front fenders, both inner wheels wells, the passenger side bedside, the passenger side door and passenger side rocker panels.
