1966 Jeep CJ5 has a small block V8 (305) with a SM 465 tranny (chevy "rock crusher" 4 speed)and Dana 300 transfer case (gear drive) the Dana 300 already has a twin stick, so you can go to low in 2wd. Dana 44 axles from a scout front and rear, disk brakes in the front, 11" drums in the rear, front also has Warn locking hubs. Rear axle has a Detroit locker, front is still open. Radiator is a aluminum 4 core by permacool with 2 electric fans.Body is junk, rusted out in spots, the frame was replaced about 10 years ago and is still good. The shocks are done but springs are good, it has a 4" trail master lift. Steering needs totally replaced it is not really road worthy. if I was keeping it I would recommend full hydraulic steering. No power steering or power brakes. Has a self exciting 110 amp alt. Stereo works. CB never did work good.Jeep was my daily driver for 10 years or so, now it has become a playground for my kids and its time to go.I have not ran it for a couple years, it needs hauled out of here because the steering is really not safe...this would be a good project vehicle for someone that has a good body to put on one. I was considering putting a CJ 3 body on it, but dont really want to mess with it anymore. I also have hard doors with roll up windows and a back window not in the pictures.Buyer is responsible for shipping.
