1969 Single Cab needs a home. Daily driver, restored in 2010 (intent was not to sell). Gray tweed interior, added retractable shoulder belts, fresh engine, alternator kit, new carb, new battery, new body seals. This isn't a bondo wagon, every dent and ding was worked out with traditional metal working tools. Lots of hours!! I purchased it in California (EBay) in 2002, drove it home. This was my work horse/daily driver from 2002 to 2009. After resroration, I was afraid to load anything, haul anything so it has been sitting since, except for an occassional trip to town. Starts and runs great, I'd drive it cross-country tomorrow without any worries. I have it stored inside, I do start it and drive it around regularly. Lots of new parts during the 2009/2010 restoration, but I don't like to refer to that like it was yesterday...if you have questions I can certainly answer them. Not restored professionally, It is being sold "As-Is", without warranty or guarentee, with regret, but old cars need to be driven not sit in the dark. Defects: Originally listed and was asking 16,900 but I discovered a thumb sized paint chip on the back (most likely a dirty thumb print just before painting) and since all the parts were painted while removed, the screws for the rails got chipped during installation. I reduced the price to compensate for those flaws...otherwise an awesome home resto. Paint color is 1968 VW Type 1 (beetle) Toga White. I've already used pearl white in 2 other restos and wanted a new shade... Vehicle is for sale locally and if sold before auction ends, I will remove the auction. Please do not contact me to bypass the auction, there is a Buy-It-Now price and I have a driveway, cash, drive-it-home price.
